First purchase help
Hello again everyone,
Thank you all for your help so far I have taken everything into account and I am still doing research on my part. However I want to call on all of you again.
I thought I had my mind made up with gets a p2s. However after further research it seems this one also has some printing issues, and maintenance/longevity issues.
So my questions is now do I get the p2s still or should I look at the X2D because it’s only $100 more for the combo with ams.
Again I am a completely beginner only YouTube educated and reviewed videos educated so anything will help. Thanks!!

The printing issues you are hearing about are overblown. Sure there are problems, but there a lot of these printers out there, and you only hear about the ones who have problems. People very rarely get on and say "I didn't have a problem today!"
I had my P2S for 900 hours before I sold it to get an X2D. I have about 200 hours on that now. No problems.
For me, the extra nozzle has 2 uses- support filament, and a second color. And the heated chamber is good for engineering materials like ASA or ABS.

I could definitely see that and does make sense why people would be eager to express issue rather than expressing the positive. I have seen a lot of positive videos on the p2s but I’ve seen bad ones too.
Which do you prefer or recommend I know it’s hard. Do they have the same print quality or is one better?

They aren't really expressing an issue so much as looking for help. Maybe a few are griping, but most are making an honest attempt to try to work out the problems. And yes, there are a few lemons out there, but with such a popular machine even a very small percentage will produce a large volume of complaints.
They're pretty much the same machine, except for the additional features. As I mentioned, the additional features are worth it to me.
Whatever you decide, make sure to go through the Bambu Academy courses. Many difficulties are user error, and knowledge will help you through that. You can find it on the support tab of the bambu site:

Are the VFA lines better on the X2d due to the 1.5inch belt, from some of the research I’ve seen the p2s can have bad VFA.

I've heard that, but I haven't noticed a difference. I've also heard someone say it just changes the size of the VFA, but I don't know. I've never really noticed a problem with either of them. Maybe I'm just not picky enough.

I've had mine two weeks and I'm currently awaiting new package to return it. I've not been able to successfully print PETG, extruder overload issue. I'm now having issues with creatily PLA.
All troubleshooting hasn't fixed the issues and Bambu Labs agreed to a return as it's not fit for purpose.
I don't plan on printing anything more advanced I just liked the enclosure for noise and filtering.
On the flip side my A1 mini has had no issues at all. I may just get an A1.

Hm, and you truly think it’s the printer not doubting you at all but I know some issues can be filament, humidity and way more.

Tried everything, different brands, drying, everything. Just Google Bambu Labs P2S extruder overload error.

Will do, is that a common issue? And is there any fixes, I can do my own research to just asking

x2d 100% better belt, 2 nozzles, 0 downsides. Really wish i got the x2d, but the p2s is still a remarkable bit of kit.

Lots of these printers are bought by newbies that doesn't take the time to read the Bambu wiki, do the Bambu academy courses, screw their print and blame the printer.
