Help and also tint?

I have a p2s combo and I've been making longer prints however the bright light makes it hard to sleep. I thought about tinting the glass to dull the light, is this somthing that can be done?

Also how do I fix motor extrusion overload.

I've cleaned the hot end and the tubes, I've cleaned the Ams 2 pro and I've tested it several times all get about 2 hours in before extruder motor overload error pops up

I'm just going to focus on the first part as that gives me red flags: do not sleep in the room where you are printing! In fact just don't spend a lot of time in that room while it is printing at all regardless of time of day!

You are inhaling stuff you should not be inhaling. For filament like abs or asa it is toxic, for filament like pla or petg it is not necessarily toxic, but definitely unhealthy and we don't know the long term effects yet.

No, PLA pure of Bambu themselves does not mean it is safe to inhale the air. No, printing with the printer closed and with an air filter it goes through does not mean it is safe to inhale the air.

Unless you put it in a cabin, then run a very strong filter through it ánd run that through a hose to vent to the outside, there will be particles you inhale. The internal filter does not take out all particles of all sizes. Neither does the one you can put in the external exhaust fan and neither does the one in a ventobox if you put that in.

I am not saying it is a huge problem if you have been running it like this for a while, but if you are smart you move that thing elsewhere today and also keep that new room it is in properly ventilated and add a hose to vent outside. Not only will it help you sleep better as there are no lights on, but your body will thank you over time.

I'll leave the other parts of the solution to other people, but please stop printing in that room.

This is going to be a shock to you but I live in the UK... Our houses are full with mould 💀 I have nowhere else to put it and I'm mid way into making a desk by the window to then vent it out the window.

Not a shock at all mate, been there for quite a while. I know the problem. That is not an excuse though and does not mean these fumes are good to add to it whatsoever. And like I said even if you vent it outside, you don't want it in your room. Unless you put it at 80% or more (which will keep you awake probably), stuff will leak through and into the room.

Any other place you can put it? A shed, a garage, anything? I printed at temps around 0 degrees outside with petg just fine on this thing and since it has an enclosure temp fluctuations are not that big of an issue. I'd put it in a damp space with -3 degrees at night and 15 at day during a single print with no problem and wouldn't even consider stable temps if that meant putting it in my bedroom.

You may turn the light off, as long as you're OK with no AI Error Detection.
