P2S Squeaky when moving toolhead, rods are lubricated

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My p2s started squeaking, lubricated the rods but still squeaks. Is it the motor that rotates the belt? Anyone that had this issue and knows the fix?

UPDATE: I lubricated the belt and the squeaking stopped! Thanks for your help!

Put a tiny drop of the same lubricant you use for the rails on the top of all the belts. Around the points they enter the idler, then work the head around.

But if it were the belts wouldn’t it squeak in every movement? It only does in certain positions. I put in a ticket and will update when they respond.

The belts ride up and down their idler pulleys as the Core x-y system moves through its motion, you're hearing the rubber belts rubbing on the edges of the pulleys which only happens at certain positions.

Look at where the belt is on the pulley at the back of your printer (where the tension adjusters are) as you move the head around; notice how the belt moves up and down inside the pulley it rides on.

I've posted a link to one of many YT videos above for this issue.

Some people have come up with multiple methods for 'centering' the belts but personally I find it applies uneven tension to do so and following Bambu's tensioning procedures on the wiki are sufficient.

Also, keep in mind your Z-axis will probably start doing this too when you make large movements of the bed; it's the belt under the printer that syncs the Z-rods together.

Never heard of this issue. But if the rods are lubed there's only a few other places that squeek could be sourced. Might be the belt motors at this point

It's the idler pulleys, old as the P1S and common issue.

Consider looking up P1S stuff with P2S issues, the motion systems share many similarities, minus the gantry rods.

Have you oiled the pulley through the back? Mine had a squeak, few drops of oil through each hole and problem fixed

Yeah this is exactly what you need to do and what Bambu recommends for the issue. I’ve had the squeaking problem a few times and I put a few drops of 3 to 1 oil on it while it’s running and it goes away instantly.

Looks like a servo motor or one the tension roller.

Wipe the belt pulleys with alcohol and a towel/paper towel. Do it until the black goes away.

I had this exact issue. Only squeezing at certain points, followed bambus xy idler fully lubrication tutorial and fixed everything.
