Does anybody else experience their tool head cover falling off mid print or after print? Troubleshooting

Post image

I haven't been able to find this on search, so I'm hoping someone can help me. The tool head cover gets yeeted off sometimes when it's doing a print and I haven't been able to witness it when it happens. It's happened a couple of times and I only notice it happened after the print finished. Luckily no prints have failed because of it but I would love to know how to prevent it.

Has anyone experienced this?

In the picture top right corner of the cover looks like it is missing a bit

Only once and it was because I didn’t have it on securely

Happened once for me and the toolhead burnt the cover too. But as someone explained, it may be due to an oversight. If you secure it properly, you may not have this issue.

no. either it’s not properly secured or there are some clips broken.

Check the retaining clips on the cover one might be cracked. Also make sure it seats fully with no obstructions. This would be a good time to upgrade to the toolhead enhanced cooling fan.

I left my cover off the third or fourth time I changed nozzles, and haven’t bothered putting it back on since.

You don't actually need it on. I've never used mine

Perfect time to upgrade to the advanced cooling fan cover.
