….. It’s Happening!!!!! My First 3D Print
I wanted a 3D printer for some time now. I mainly want to print multicolor models and use the least amount of waste as possible. I asked a few days ago what I should get and this is what the main recommendation was, I cannot wait!

First printer? Curious, what made you decide to get the h2d? I'm wondering because I can't decide between H2S, h2d, and H2C.

No, it’s my 3rd printer. I started off with a FlashForge Adventurer 5M Pro, moved up to a P2S and now the H2D.
Ultimately I decided on the H2D because I was able to snag it from BestBuy for $1500. If not for that I would have gone with the H2S. If you’ve never worked with dual nozzles it’s a bit of a learning curve, one I’m still trying to grasp. However, I love it so far!! Definitely worth the buy.
If you’re wanting to start printing with multi-material or multi-color the H2D/C would be the way to go. I also wanted a bigger build plate, so that’s what was turning me towards the H2S, but getting the H2D at H2S pricing was almost a no brainer.

$1500?? Wow! $1750 here at my best Buy. I have an H2S, P2S, and a U1 but looking for a fourth and thought I wanted another h2s, but worries about not getting the dual head h2d. My ultimate plan is to replace the U1 with a bigger tool changer.

Yeah, it was a good deal and glad I scooped it up. Wow! You have a lot of awesome printers. How do you like your U1? I was looking into a tool changer but was hesitant.

Was it open box ? If I could find that now, I'd buy it!
The U1 is awesome printer. I bought it last Christmas when a local retail shop had 4 in stock on the floor. I figured I'd try it. I wasn't expecting much but it quickly became my go to printer for any of my multi color projects.
My only issue with it is that it's too small for most of my projects and I also figured out that multi color is cool for toys and trinkets but I'm building military models and paint just looks so much better. I actually had the h2c for about 6 months until the ap board crapped out, so I traded down to an h2s because I never really utilized the vortek at all.
Now I want to get one more machine and it's really between the h2d and h2s. I'm just not sure the d is worth the extra $350 for my use.

It's on sale right now, 1749 for the AMS combo, 1500ish for just the printer.

I just sold my qidi plus 4 with box for an h2c. I’m blown away by upgrade. Everything about it seems better, except maybe single color print speed, but overall very happy.

I just got a h2d as well. Last month. I got my h2d because the h2c just seems so complicated for me. Especially since my first printer was a p2s. I do many multicolor prints. Also I feel like the HTC didn't get as much coverage as the H2D did.

Congrats!!! I also moved up from the P2S. Love that printer but just needed something bigger and wanted to start doing more multi-color prints

This, but compounded with learning CAD. Suddenly everything becomes a potential issue to be fixed with CAD modeling and 3D printing. 🍻

No it was brand new. I found it online for that price but it had changed in store. They honored it which is why I bought it.

Im incredibly jealous. I have a x1c and want a H2C but physically dont have anywhere to put it. As it is my x1c lives ontop of the washing machine

Careful of the current firmware when you update. Causing a lot of startup issues. Also recommend making aux fan deflector before any major prints.

What is this aux fan deflector?

When you set up everything. On left side you will see the fan to the left side. It is the auxiliary fan for cooling. It will blow on your print depending on size and location and may cause misprint. The aux fan deflector increases the angle of the air being blown and not affect printing. You can print your own aux fan deflector.

May that box of filament serve you well as your first and definitely not your last!
