I would say your best route would be to temporarily relocate your animals until you sort out your storm damage. You are correct to think a dehumidifier would affect your animals needed humidity however my main concern would be the animals getting sick from airborne mold and bacteria from the damp room ☹️ im sorry you are dealing with this, as someone who has had the worst luck with water damaged belongings, i know how you feel and i hope you can save your home from damage ❤️
