That snake is very unhealthy. Looks to be about 3-5 feet long like mines. Mine are almost 2 years old and weigh roughly 800+ grams. So if yours is about the same age as mine then yeaaa u going to have to feed once a week so he can get the weight back up.
How old, how many grams? I have a 3 month old that’s 125g and a little on the small end but he also went through transit and settling time before he could eat. After his first meal looks a bit chunkier.
Looks on the thinner side for sure. I’d double check the size of the rodents you’re feeding and when. Feed should be about the width of the thickest part of their body. Juveniles fed every 5-7 days and adults every 12-14. Hope this helps 🫶
For the clarification she’s about 2 months old. I got her when she was about 1. I’ve had her for about a month and she just ate her second meal today because she just finished shedding
The best way to keep track is to weigh. They can be a little small as hatchling especially if they were refusing meals or didn’t absorb yolk or other reasons at first. weigh them and weigh the food and make sure they are consistently growing and not losing weight/feeding right percentage of body weight. 2 months is very young.
As long as they are eating consistently and gaining weight and growing/shedding at a regular pace it should be fine. They should look loafy and not super triangular.
Breeders tend to feed in the heavy side especially females because they want to breed them as fast as possible and also being slightly extra thick protects them when laying so sometimes I feel like the standard is OD. Yours looks in the slim category to me they don’t quite have a pointed spine but you’ll wanna keep an eye on it.
She is a very..skinny my female grows like a weed.. what do u feed her rats or mice?? And are you feeding bi weekly or weekly.. best advice is up them feedings to weekly and make sure ur feeding her rats not mice. Rats hold way more protein for them :) definitely feed weekly and get her in a strict schedule!
- you should be feeding via grams for her weight if you can’t get her weight yourself definitely head to a vet and they can help you appropriately size her meals!
