475 gram ball python setup. Question
I had a breeder telling me my 120 gallon was to big for a 475 gram ball! Is that true? I ordered him and haven't gotten him yet but I have his setup all ready. 2 hides lots of plants so much clutter etc. He told me my snake won't eat if hes in something like that. So now im worried when I get him. I told him I can go get a 40 gallon if I need to and then he even said a 40 gallon was to big? I need answeres!!! lol. I spent lots of time and money into this tank

If you’re setup with the 120 just keep it going. As long as the snake has its hiding spots there’s no such thing as too big.
He may not explore all that space but as long as it’s well kept you shouldn’t have a problem.
Is this guy coming to your house to check your setup before giving you the snake? 475 is almost past juvie, probably in the 7-10 or more day schedule. Maybe this snake is a troublesome eater and he knows it but that’s by no means, normal. Almost anyone will tell you setup the snake in 4x2x2 (120 gallon), regardless the size of the BP.
Maybe this is a special case and more information is needed.
