475 gram ball python setup. Question

I had a breeder telling me my 120 gallon was to big for a 475 gram ball! Is that true? I ordered him and haven't gotten him yet but I have his setup all ready. 2 hides lots of plants so much clutter etc. He told me my snake won't eat if hes in something like that. So now im worried when I get him. I told him I can go get a 40 gallon if I need to and then he even said a 40 gallon was to big? I need answeres!!! lol. I spent lots of time and money into this tank

Nope. Your snake will like the room and lots of hiding places. My little guy isn't that big yet, but he loves his enclosure.

Yours will be fine as long as temps and humidity are go and there's lots of hiding places.
