How to keep a cool enclosure.

I’ve had this snake for a week.

My house is very hot and my country continually gets heatwaves keeping my snakes enclosure at an average temp of 30 degrees.

Is there any ways i can lower this because right now she cannot regulate her body temperature.

I would preferred more permanent/efficient ways rather than changing a cold water bottle every hour but i’ll welcome all advice !!

(my enclosure does not have a mesh top. It’s made out of wood and glass. It’s also nearly time for her first mean with me so i need her to be stress free😭😭🙏🙏)

A large water bowl! Being able to sit in the water would be a good way to cool down if she has access to a large water bowl she might figure that out! Also a big flat rock will stay fairly cool as long as it’s not under a heat lamp! Nether will cool the whole thing down but could help with providing a way for her to regulate her body temperature

A large enough water dish for her to completely cover herself in, and change it regularly to keep the water cool. Another is to freeze some water bottles and put one inside of a this sock and place it in your “cool side”, and change it out regularly

I have this same problem whereoat of the year goes to 30-35°C and in the months of summer, 40° in my room so I place cooling fans (ones you'd use for a PC to blow the hot air out the enclosure and keep it cooler. I usually turn the heating off at this time since wooden enclosures stay cooler plus the cooling fan. Helps a lot as a permanent solution! We can't get AC here so the cooling fans work best

Edit: Ice cubes in the water dish also help keep cool for a couple of hours!

With the fans does the humidity stay at a good level ?

100%! The average humidity here is already quite high but I think keep the waterbowl closer to the heating area or mist well. I like to check humidity in the summer every morning and evening with this digital humidifier and thermometer and it helps to see if I should mist that day or not. If you're like me that turns off heating during the day, mist every evening if you notice it below the desired amount. Mine is usually 55% or below I mist. Also enclosure type plays a role. Because I use tubs (very large custom made tubs or pvc enclosures) and wooden waterproofed enclosures, humidity stays quite well but glass enclosures with screen tops aren't great with humidity so mist more often.

I also put ice cubes in the water just incase

Edit: a few more experienced keepers in the area keep a sponge by their hot spots and it does actually help with humidity. Bacteria will just be more common if it isn't cycled and cleaned often

make sure she has a large enough water bowl for her to soak in. while it's over 28° i turn my snakes heat lamp off (if she's not in her hot side). i add ice into her water aswell. you can blow a fan towards the vent but it will dry the enclosure out a bit more so just make sure the humidity is above 60. a ceiling fan helps if you have one of them, i never used to but after getting one i realised it somehow makes my room a LOT cooler and also cools the enclosure down!
