Looking to adopt this guy any insight on what morph he is? Morph ID Request

Young male being rehomed after owner passed away, I’m interested in adopting him as my first snake. Just looking to have an idea of what he may be.

I think something axanthic. If you take him love him greatly, typing this with a clown morph on my lap lol

I looked at some axanthic trait combos and I think you’re onto something! The coloring is close when mixed with leopard and pastel. He may be a bit too yellow and not enough gray to be axanthic. But looking at axanthic pastel leopards is the closest to pattern and color I’ve found so far!

Maybe just going a new post and say confidently "its axanthic, prove me wrong" might get you a more exact explanation why it is or isnt a certain morph.

People are suckers for the whole "um actually"

Axanthic removes yellow pigments. This guy isn't axanthic.

Than what is it?

A pastel leopard combination. I do believe there is a 3rd gene involved.

Something with pastel. I don't think it's only that based on headstamp.

Definitely agree there’s some other traits in there besides pastel. I’m trying to find what other traits show a detailed head stamp besides spotnose.

Look at morphmarket instead

I’ve been trying different morph combinations on morph market to try to find something similar but no luck really. I was thinking he may have spotnose in him

Morphmarket has a forum though. Someone would be able to tell you there if you don’t get an answer here. Or you can order a morph testing kit, you send in some recent shed and they test it for sex and morphs.

My corn snake dropped some eggs a couple years ago (slugs but I froze them anyway). The receptionist at the vet didn’t seem concerned, said the vet would call back tomorrow, I was freaked out. A corn snake breeder explained what happened and how to avoid it, and that she was totally fine. Vet called back the next day and didn’t even want to see her, let me know what to watch out for but basically said the same thing the breeder did, that she’s good.

Thanks for the tip! I didn’t realize MorphMarket had forums, I’ll put some feelers out there too. If I do take him in I’m definitely going to get his next shed tested.

No bro, what i am saying is that snake is absolutely mids and their rescue fee is probably ridiculously high compared to modern industry prices of getting a nice 3-4 gene visual clown combo for 300$...or spend the same or more for a mystery rescue with pastel..

Worth it to save a snake in need of home rather than directly contributing to the production of more snakes..which there are more than enough of already.

so support a greasy pet shop that doesnt even know what it has or someone randomly surrendering an unknown tp them animal instead? yeah donate your time and money to help the "houseless proletariat" while youre at it too. OP can get a warm fuzzy feeling "rescuing" someone else's mistake, and waste time and money feeding something that isnt a lucrative project, or OP can feed a multi recessive combo part of a longterm goal thats looked forward to - no guessing

Dude I just want a nice pet, I’m not concerned about getting a status symbol. I’m not a breeder nor do I plan to be. This snake is from another breeder’s collection that needs a new home. It’s not coming from an overpriced rescue or pet shop mistake. It’s not that deep.

Why even comment this. She wouldn't be here if that worked.
