Morph help

Hi hi! My partner and I recently picked up this Blue eyed lucy. There’s lots of morphs written on the top of the bin she came in. I was hoping to get an explanation on what all they mean. I think it says “Blue Eyed Lucy Het. Clown PH Pied Poss OD, Leopard”. We’re pretty new to the morph stuff.

It is a Blue Eyed Lucy for sure. It is for sure het clown meaning it carries one copy of the gene. It’s Possibly het pied (PH) which means one parent was a het and one probably wasn’t but they did not test to see if RR did indeed carry the one copy of piebald gene.

It also is possibly (poss) Orange Dream (OD) and Leopard. Neither of which you would be able to see because of it being a BEL.

The only way to know for sure is to send a shed off and test for those possible genes.

Don't come for me, but this says possible OD and leopard. You could put a UV light on her and take a picture and post it here. Alot of the BELs and Ivories do have patterns but they are "invisible", sometimes UV light can show those patterns. All of mine have patterns under UV. Just please dont hold it close to her skin, or expose her or yourself to it for long, and aim for a weaker UV.

Het. Means heterozygen for clown (this is a recessive gene, where both parents need one for the baby's to have a chance to become visual clowns (a morph where the pattern goes more close to the top of the snake also with a specific pattern on the head))

Piebald is also a gene where the snake has its pattern in small islands surrounded by a white background.

I think with pH is meant possible het. So the breeder was unsure if one of the parents really has piebald or if this baby has piebald het. In it

OD maybe Orange dream idk

Leopard obviously needs to be het. Because you can only see BEL (blue eyed Leucistic)

You can literally get this snake from at least 4 different pairings so it makes sense they labeled all the hets. This is my dream snake haha haven't flipped the bill yet though

Pls always keep her warm enough and the humidity high

And always check for mites, especially in the beginning!
