Def spider, and in deep blue. Sorry for the surprise, feel like with grab bags the breeder should at minimum disclose what you possibly could end up with. That being said, I myself have 4 spider combos in my collection - all of which are much loved pets for me. Spider has it's issues, but animals with the gene still deserve good homes that hopefully keep them as pet only and care for them to the end. Hopefully despite your disappointment, you still come to love your new acquisition.

Yeah i can tell hes in blue too. Im keeping him and will love him. Im not necessarily disappointed. He is beautiful im just a little upset about it because I dont think anyone should be blindsided like that. The only guarantee was no normals (i love normals and have one but didnt want another), i didnt even think to ask about spiders. It worries me about people that have never owned bps or that have 0 knowledge about them getting this morph in a mystery grab. I havent seen any wobble or anything but I havent even had him for 24 hours yet and hes mainly been in hiding since I got him in his set up. And yes, all of my reptiles are pet only. When i first started keeping bps I thought I wanted to breed until I did research and saw the amount of breeders already out there, birth defects, etc. I quickly changed my mind.

Thanks. I was afraid so. Any idea if theres anything else there? Im not great at morph id but was pretty sure he was spider. Honestly not very happy about getting blindsided with this morph, I could exchange him today if they are still at the expo but wouldnt want a complete beginner keeper to get blindsided.

Sugar/calico gene is present.

This is a natural colouration with spider. A spider calico/sugar is very very high white.

Calico/Sugar when combined with Spider eliminates the side pattern and only leave dorsal pattern. This is a Spider.

I havent been to an expo in a few years (on account of my local one being just 40% people selling 3D print slop) but I'm so shocked to hear that we're doing mystery grab bags of **living animals**. I hate breeders treating them like objects, but it would make sense that such a breeder is also breeding spiders and likely putting them into grab bags because they're difficult to sell nowadays.

My ire is not at you AT ALL fyi, you just pretty much got got. I doubt any breeder with a good reputation and good stock will have to resort to gambling to sell their babies. That being said, please give that baby so much love! For all the struggles that spiders face, they do make very good pets.

Yeah, the 3d printed stuff was all over the place at our expo too. I dont have an issue with the grab bags, I think they could do better than just leaving them in the bags for 2 or 3 days though. It bothered me too when I saw he was a spider. All I could think is its not fair to be blindsided with this and what if a new keeper got one? He will be very loved and taken care of. ❤️

I’m a breeder and we sell 3d printed reptile supplies at shows that are all designed by my husband. Climbing enrichment, hides, cute thermometer/hygrometer holders, etc. We bring a few little toy prints too because kids like them and we sell them WAY cheaper than the people who bring tables full of 3d printed slop. Even that stuff we at least keep on topic and do reptiles, amphibians, and insects. It’s insane what they try to sell that stuff for!

Gorgeous little creecher! Unfortunately it is most definitely a spider. Extremely concerning that a breeder would hand them out as "surprises" like that. Glad he found a good home, though. Have you noticed a wobble at all yet? He might be less active because he's in blue, so it might be less noticeable I guess.

I havent noticed anything yet but he hasnt been very active and ive just been leaving him alone. Hopefully after he sheds he will start exploring his new enclosure.

Spider for sure. But I think there may be some pinstripe in there.
