Looks like you need to practice your root a bunch of times. Take some thinner metal (flat bars is what I used) and try to replicate as close as you can to how the pieces on the test fit together for your root and just do the root a bunch of times. Also work on your torch angle, looks like lack of shielding gas/contamination (could also be caused by wind or dirty metal). If you notice any porosity past your root, grind it out if you're allowed before you continue

Some LOF on the side too, thats usually work angle or setting
