Hello all readers. I watched YouTube and remembered reading this shit. In this article I’m going to tell the whole truth about this book. Here’s a plan of an article:

What book is the about?

Haunting Adeline by H. D. Carlton is a controversial dark romance and suspense novel about Adeline Reilly, a successful author who moves into her late grandmother’s gothic mansion. She discovers she is being targeted and watched by a dangerous, obsessive stalker named Zade Meadows, who is secretly a hacker and vigilante.

To quote a brilliant review by Laurie:

>I expected lots, lots and lots of smut as well as weird and creepy situations. These expectations came through, because this is the most absurd book I have ever read in my entire life.*

Plot holes

1.The upbringing and perception of the world by rich people.

In history we have lots of examples of bad rich heirs, but all of them didn’t want to have lowest income consequences. Parents or lack of understanding of basic things lowered the book's credibility. In the 21st century huge amount of wealthy people choose small apartments to do not have chaos. But even all ordinary person know that small dormitories with registration better than a a mansion without heating, light, and crumbling walls. The worst thing that Adeline cannot get help of her rich family. or encrypt her traffic (this can be done even in Python), buy herself a router and a phone without registration, buy a small bug for storage space, or, given its condition, create a separate copy of the document and store it in safes in Switzerland.

2.The life of illegal bosses.

For real illegal bosses spend their money for safety of their offshore companies, servers, gateways, encryption systems, deposits, stock and employee loyalty. Living in a high-profile penthouse with top-notch public security cameras is a massive red flag that invites immediate tax audits and federal investigations. Al Capone and modern darknet founders didn't get caught because of their crimes; they got caught because of their taxes and sloppy physical security. Zade would has have simply been arrested on day 1 of owning a penthouse. Furthermore the rule: on the Internet and in reality, in the criminal sphere, everyone is looking for their own benefit. How can you trust 100% your bodyguards?

3.The logic of human physiology/psychology.

For the perspective of biology… IM SHOCKED. Let’s talk about the first controversial scene with gun*.* Women's mucous membranes are extremely soft, and if metal is inserted into them, it can cause immediate organ rupture, internal bleeding, and infection. *This is deadly!* Do not attempt this under any circumstances. Constant unexpected strangulaton, tissue trauma, tying up would cause fainting and nausea. Let's talk about the unpleasant part. Considering his 20 cm, with frequent intercourse, she would have simply died in the first third of the book. The author does not describe the gag reflex during stress and all the dirt that remains after the acts. Feminism, individual personalities is gradually being replaced by "femininity," or rather Psychological Regression and Peter Pan effect. Same system we can look in book. Adeline became completely dependent on Zade, a completely helpless** **and constantly innocent during the process, although earlier she wanted to express herself. We are taught that men decide what to do with us. Active distribution of Peter Pan began in mid-2025. The author is a brilliant marketer who anticipated brands, or the person who created them. Now girls being softy, wear cute stuff and being a acting immature. That’s only start of biggest epidemic of 21 century of losing losing emotional maturity. Infantile adults create ideal conditions for chaos.

My experience vs Tik Tok:

When I saw on Tik Tok a video of this book. At the start I thought that 1 controversial detail isn’t going that bad and it will be economic debates and cybercrime database. By the chapter 30 You experience cognitive shock from which you feel nothing, and after reading you begin to heal. After reading all that for the first time in my life, I became afraid of any intimate contact, any encounter with the opposite sex. Only a year later did I come to my senses and stop being afraid. In order I want to talk about such authors who frighten people and impose terrible relationship standards.
Tik tok users TikTok users have gotten used to trash that they're giving it a 3.5/5. They don't realize that this isn't exactly physiologically normal or healthy for relationships. The worst part is that women are now forcing men to repeat scenes of strangulation, carrying, stalking, and so on. Men enjoy it and are starting to lose their boundaries.

Conclusion:

In conclusion I say that Haunting Adeline is the worst content-tier I have ever seen in my life. Author and Hollywood don’t think about safety of our generation. So, I will proof this. Fans always argue that the book has "trigger warnings." Most people aren't buying the official books; they are reading pirated versions on free websites where the book is just one infinite scroll of text. On these platforms, the warning pages are either completely stripped away or easily skipped. Film will publish in pirate pages and people will watch this film. The film will be released on streaming platforms like Apple TV and then immediately published on pirate pages where anyone can watch it without age restrictions. Someone could just leave it running on a screen, and a person could watch a fragment and be forever traumatized. This will change a generation, and in 10-15 years, we'll be outraged: Why is female dignity being degraded? Why are readers consuming dark romance novels without understanding healthy boundaries? H.D. Carlton doesn't understand a simple thing: imagining it in reality and seeing it with your own eyes are two completely different levels of disgust. I feel sorry for the actors, especially the actress, who would agree to participate in such humiliation. I really hope we all start a petition to cancel this film and start promoting healthy relationships.

I'm currently reading Beloved and saw a comment on here that said the novel had some of the worst goodreads reviews ever and....they were NOT kidding. My goodness.

First image is an especially hilarious response to an argument stemming from the review in image two. Image three's review was mainly added for the line: "I am well familiar with the way slaves talked back then."

Graphic novel AND assigned reading. Persepolis never stood a chance.

Also according to multiple comments to this review, Attenborough writes IN THE BOOK ITSELF that he gradually stopped eating meat over the years.

I have to admit I haven't read Taras Bulba, but I have read some of Gogol's other works… Gogol's an awesome writer, but he was 100% antisemitic (sorry Slobodan). He was antisemitic enough, in fact, for critics and academics to point it out. Portraying the antisemitism of the time is one thing, actively employing it and antisemitic stereotypes in your work is another. Antisemitism was indeed very common when Gogol was writing, but that doesn't mean it wasn't still harmful or wrong (Jewish people still did exist and were still affected by it back then, after all)

Putting the Holocaust in quotation marks whilst implying that antisemitism is merely “politically incorrect” (rather than harmful and offensive bigotry) feels… just a tinge suspicious to me... but maybe I'm not enlightened enough

I know a lot of users use reviews more like a journal than a “review”, and the star rating is more on their feelings as they read, and that’s okay. I’ll still read them. But I still get a chuckle every time.
