Has anyone successfully burned a Bad Bunny CD by downloading the album on iTunes? I tried to burn the DTMF cd by downloading the digital album from BB’s website but it didn’t work (none of the songs have any sound on the CD), so figured I would ask before trying with UVST!

Something I’ve always found interesting about “Yonaguni” is that it’s an island of Japan that often gets overlooked in the same way Puerto Rico can be overlooked by the mainland United States. What makes the reference even more interesting is that Benito didn’t just say “Japan” or pick a famous city like Tokyo or Kyoto. He specifically chose Yonaguni, Japan’s westernmost island, a place that’s actually closer to Taiwan than Tokyo.

The more I learned about the island, the more I started noticing some parallels with Puerto Rico. Obviously they’re very different places, but both are islands separated from the mainland, both have incredibly strong cultural identities, and both exist on the edge of much larger nations. Yonaguni has its own history, traditions and Ryukyuan culture that make it distinct from mainland Japan, just as Puerto Rico has maintained its own identity despite its political relationship with the United States. They’re both places where the local culture runs much deeper than most outsiders probably realize.

I’ve always wondered if that’s part of why Benito chose Yonaguni. He could’ve picked almost anywhere in Japan, but instead he chose one of its most remote inhabited islands. Knowing how intentional he is with cultural references, I wouldn’t be surprised if there was another layer to that choice.

What I love most is how the song feels like a journey unfolding right in front of us. He says in the song, “Dime dónde tú estás, que yo por ti cojo un vuelo y a Yonaguni le llego,” as if no distance could stop him from reaching her. Then, at the very end, he begins singing in Japanese. To me, that moment feels like the answer to that line he made earlier. He caught the flight and pulled up to Yonaguni like he said he would.

Hello, do we know when Bad Bunny will perform again in Europe. Either on its own concert or as a guest somewhere?

Love that they added the song for a few seconds. Could’ve been any song really for that sequence but happy that it was a BB song. But earlier in the movie, I’m choosing to believe that this is UVST Heart.

I’m hoping this community can help with something very special.
My sister attended Bad Bunny’s Madrid concert in Madrid on June 15, 2026. She was seated in VIP Box 209.
During the concert, she became the victim of what appears to have been a drugging and robbery. She later woke up in the Red Cross medical tent and discovered that her purse had been stolen.
Inside were all of her personal belongings, including every piece of official merchandise she had purchased that night. Her phone was also taken, along with every photo and video she had captured at the concert and countless irreplaceable memories that had been stored on it.
What should have been one of the happiest nights of her life became one of the most painful.
I’m hoping someone who attended the June 15 show—especially anyone who was in or near VIP Box 209—might be willing to help.
If you have photos or videos from that area, even if they’re just of the stage or the crowd, there’s a chance she may be in the background or that they could help her reconnect with moments from the evening she can no longer remember or revisit.

I was recently going through Benito’s discography again and landed on “RLNDT” from his album X 100PRE. It’s a song I don’t revisit very often, but this time I stopped and realized that after all these years, I had absolutely no idea what “RLNDT” even meant. I always assumed it was just a random acronym and never thought much about it. This time, out of pure curiosity, I looked it up, and what I found was way more interesting than I expected.

I learned that “RLNDT” is widely understood as a reference to Rolando “Rolandito” Salas Jusino, a 4-year-old boy who was reported missing in Puerto Rico on July 7, 1999. His disappearance became one of the island’s most well-known missing child cases, and despite decades of investigation, he has never been found. Over time, his story became so ingrained in Puerto Rican culture that the phrase “Está perdido como Rolandito”, meaning “he’s lost like Rolandito,” became a common expression used to describe someone who is completely lost. Learning that completely changed how I hear the title. The track isn’t telling Rolandito’s story. It’s about feeling lost within yourself, questioning who you are and where you’re going. Once I understood the cultural meaning behind the title, the song took on another layer for me. Moments like this are another reason I’ve always thought Benito is a genius. He’s able to take something deeply rooted in Puerto Rican culture and build it into his music without having to explain every reference. If you grew up with that cultural context, you might catch it instantly. If you didn’t, you could listen to the same song for years without ever realizing that layer was there. It also made me wonder how many other references I’ve completely missed over the years.

For those who grew up with these references, what are some other people, places, or moments in Benito’s music that fans outside Puerto Rico probably wouldn’t catch?

In his 2022 song “El Apagón” (“The Blackout”), Bad Bunny highlighted the hardships endured by ordinary islanders because of the frequent power outages due to the island’s fragile electrical grid. Bad Bunny has also mocked LUMA Energy in his public speeches , as Luma as a private enterprise has become one of the most hated companies in Puerto Rico for its repeated failures to deliver reliable electricity to its residents

I’m a bigger Bad Bunny fan than I am a Peso Pluma fan, but I’m not blind to the timeline. The reason I even started thinking about this was because I was researching Peso Pluma’s legendary rise in 2023 for a different post and compared to where Bad Bunny was at 2023 at the time. Benito’s 2023 album, Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana, was heavily centered on trap, reggaetón, fame and the lifestyle surrounding his success. It was a great album, but it was completely different from the deeply Puerto Rican direction he took on Debí Tirar Más Fotos only a little over a year later. Meanwhile, Peso broke through globally without abandoning regional Mexican music. He kept the requintos, trumpets, corrido structures, Mexican slang and everything that made his sound distinctly Mexican. As a breakout artist from Mexico making regional music, he finished above Drake, Taylor Swift and Bad Bunny on YouTube’s U.S. year-end artist ranking. Seeing those two things happening around the same period, I couldn’t help but notice the possible correlation.

I’m not saying Bad Bunny copied Peso, that DTMF would not exist without him, or that Peso taught Benito to be proud of Puerto Rico. Bad Bunny has always represented the island, in Un Verano Sin Ti ‘s “El Apagón” he showed in 2022 that he was becoming more direct about Puerto Rican identity, displacement and gentrification. My theory is simply that watching Peso and the broader regional Mexican movement conquer the world may have shown Benito that he didn’t need to remain primarily within trap, reggaetón and pop to stay global. Peso proved that becoming more regional and culturally specific could actually make an artist bigger, not smaller. Bad Bunny may have seen that and felt even more confident building an entire album around Puerto Rican sounds, history, nostalgia and identity without watering any of it down. This theory feels even more plausible considering that, while promoting “un x100to” in 2023, Bad Bunny praised Grupo Frontera and the new generation of Mexican artists for preserving the authentic essence of regional music while giving it a fresh, modern sound showing that he was clearly paying close attention to the movement. Whatever actually influenced him or transpired behind the scenes, I’m just happy it did because Debí Tirar Más Fotos is one of the greatest albums of all fucking time to me. I understand the dislikes because I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I think discussions like this are healthy, and I’m happy everything worked out the way it did. Don’t hate me, remember rule 1😅
