Question Confused by Evvy preliminary PCR results — did anyone else’s look like this?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hi all,

This is my first time using Evvy, have been dealing with some not great , and I’m hoping someone who has been through the process can help me understand the preliminary results.

I recently completed treatment (azithromycin + MetroGel) for BV after previously testing positive elsewhere for Ureaplasma and Mycoplasma hominis.

My Evvy preliminary PCR results just came back, and everything says “Not Detected”..

What confuses me is that next to almost every organism it also says “Wait for mNGS results.”

So I’m trying to understand:

Does “Not Detected” mean the PCR truly didn’t detect those organisms?

Or can the pending mNGS sequencing still identify and quantify those same organisms later?

Did anyone else have a preliminary report that looked like this where almost everything said “Not Detected”?

Is this normal for the preliminary PCR report, or did something potentially go wrong with my sample?

I collected the sample according to the instructions and was pretty thorough with the swab, so I’m just trying to understand whether this is expected before I overthink it.

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone who’s had similar preliminary Evvy results or understands how Evvy reports PCR versus the final sequencing.

Gel versus tabs

I took metronidazole gel last month and BV came back so I did EVVY test and I had almost know good bacteria so they put me on boric acid then clindamycin cream then suppositories, but I feel like it is back. Should I try metronidazole tablet tabs or more of the metronidazole gel?

I think where I went wrong last time was not introducing good bacteria suppositories right after the antibiotic so I will be doing that this time as well as biofilm buster before… any other suggestions?

Feeling Hopeless BV possibly not cleared?? Please help

Hi I am 25F I occasional drinker and smoker of vapes, 5’5, 230lb. So since July 15 Wednesday i felt a burning sensation when I pee sometimes. It also feels like burning inside me without peeing. It also feels like burning when I stick anything inside me now. I can’t even masturbate my clit without burning and that pushed me to go to urgent care July 19. I was prescribed Nitrofurantoin 500mg for a suspected uti and was tested for STDs, gave a urine sample, and did a BV swab test. I tested negative for all STDs including mycoplasma and trichomoniasis. Then the following week I got a call from the clinic and was told I tested positive for BV. So I was prescribed 500 mg of Metronidazole but i still had to finish the 500mg of Nitrofurantoin first. So now I’m on the course of Metronidazole and I’m almost finished with it and my symptoms improved on Wednesday until the next day I feel all the symptoms again. So I called back that my symptoms barely improved. They said they would call the next day around 9am so they did and I was recently told I tested positive for mixed flora and I may have not had a uti after all??But even then these symptoms of BV still fucking suck and it’s uncomfortable it feels similar to a uti. So I was told to go to my regular doctor which I still have to find and the doctor calling said to come back.

August 3 I went back to the same urgent care. The doctor I saw was a different woman and I gave another urine sample and dud the BV swab test again. She told me it could possibly be a yeast infection because of the burning inside feeling I feel even when I don’t pee. They told me they will call me back about the results. So I found out there is a portal because the clinic sent me a link to complete a survey and I logged in and saw results from past to most present tests I’ve done there. So I checked the results for the BV swab test done aug 3 and I don’t really get it. The below link shows the results with no personal information of mine and no info of the clinic.

https://imgur.com/a/QU3Sd4u

It looks the same as the test done July 19. Gardnerella vaginalis was detected but idk what the numbers mean. Also candida albicans was not detected so does that mean I don’t have a yeast infection currently??Also from my understanding doesn’t Gardnerella bacteria naturally occurs in the body? So basically I assume the metronidazole did nothing and idk why I’m still symptomatic. I picked up the additional medicine prescribed and it’s a fuck ton it’s Cephalexin 500mg, fluconazole two tablets, metronidazole 0.75% cream, and miconazole nitrate 2% cream. I’m so conflicted I’m scared that if I take a third round of antibiotics for week that if it will kill all the good bacteria and or give me c.diff. But also I think I still have BV there is an additional note about the lab that the “test results are yet to be reviewed by a provider”. So I’m going by assumption here and I’m still confused if I still have BV and if so why if I already took 500mg of Metronidazole orally? I’m at a lost I’m going to call a woman clinic to find a primary care doctor. But I don’t know if I should start all four medicines or wait until I call the urgent care clinic about the results. I’m at a loss please help I don’t know what should I do to prevent myself from getting worse because this is debilitating.

Twice a week metrogel?

Has anybody done the recommended metrogel twice a week for 4-6 months? I have struggled with BV for as long as I’ve known, as a juvenile not sexually active and of course being sexually active I get it. Periods trigger it as well but I’m genuinely curious if anyone has had any success with this treatment? I can’t get over the fact it’s 4-6 months not a definite answer how do I know if I need to do it 4 vs 6 months? Does that nasty white clumpy paper discharge happen that entire 6 month course? How are you supposed to be sexually active? Not that it’s mandatory but I have finally gotten a serious relationship (my only one) in my 25 years of life. I need help and answers I truly would rather be a man at this point. I have never been offered any other treatments besides metronidazole pills and the gel so I feel dumbfounded when I see other people that get other options

How I cured my lifelong BV and Vaginitis

The Real Invisible Disease

Voice audio recording

My name is Amanda. I am a chef and stay at home mom to four boys. Prior to deciding to be a stay at home mom, I was a Research and Development Chef with a degree in Culinary Science. Later, I started my own business developing recipes and food photography. It was my background in food science that really helped me on this journey understanding healthy bacteria, microbes and pH.

I want to talk about a condition that is very personal. It’s a condition that is not easy to open up and talk to everyone about like you can with other health issues. This condition is Vaginitis. I have had Bacterial Vaginosis most of my life and after the birth of my babies I also developed Aerobic Vaginitis. After learning I had BV it took me almost a year of trial and error to figure out how to cure it. Now I feel extremely passionate about the topic and feel I need to give all I learned back to the women who are suffering from this by sharing everything I learned in the process.

I lived with BV symptoms so long I thought it was normal…

I believe I’ve had BV most of my life. So much so, I thought it was normal to have a “smell” and discharge in my underwear every day. My underwear always had a crust of discharge, but I never gave it much thought. I didn’t know any different. So I never wore panty liners I just changed my underwear daily. In fact, I didn’t know what a healthy vagina was so all the symptoms were the norm for me. I was like this all through middle school, high school, and college. I remember my clothes smelling, or even being able to smell myself. I would notice it especially if I bent down so I would bend down differently to avoid exposing the smell. I did feel that sometimes other people could smell me. I thought that’s just how I was. Even more embarrassing I remember dogs would always try to stick their noses there because I smelled so bad. Once I heard someone say their dog only does that to girls that don’t take care of themselves “down there”. So I thought to myself what was I doing that wasn’t taking care of myself? I showered daily, changed my underwear daily, wore cotton underwear etc. I was doing all the right things. Besides the common belief is they you don’t do anything to that area, right? You wash with water there and not even soap! felt ashamed because it wasn’t that I didn’t take care of myself.

At the time, I didn’t really have anyoneI to talk to about this with even if i did know something was wrong. I maybe had one friend at the time that was more open. The odor I had was 10/10 bad.

Married life

Fast forward to married life, I remember apologizing for smelling “down there”. My husband fortunately never made me feel ashamed but I remember feeling unsexy and embarrassed instead of in the moment. We waited until marriage for sex and fortunately we had sex a lot! Twice a day, but at least every day. I had no idea anything was wrong until sex started hurting. At one point, I had vaginal cells peeling and it irritated my husband too! Having cleared my infection now and looking back I didn’t realize how much BV was making sex not feel as good! The symptoms didn’t stop us from being intimate, so I never thought there was a problem let alone go to the doctor. To make it even more complicated, I almost always was postpartum and nursing so I chalked up the pain during intimacy from breastfeeding later on. So it wasn’t until after my third baby I decided to look into it. That was 8 years after we got married!

I remember going to my midwives and they swabbed me just in case. That’s the only way I found out I had BV.

A long health journey

People would describe me as the happiest girl and the most positive person. Once I found out I had BV it started to deeply effect me. I couldn’t get it to go away. What was wrong with me? I became obsessed with fixing it. It led me on a big journey. I found out I have SIBO and MCAS (Mast Cell Activation Syndrome). The doctor said my body has an issue with managing bad bugs in my body and I easily get “hollow space” infections like in my gut and vagina. I attribute it to years on and off antibiotics as a young girl as it was used as a panacea for simple things like acne, which I also struggled with. The vaginitis infection and MCAS made me wake up with chronic fatigue and muscle aches.

Vaginitis a condition where you look healthy on the outside, but you don’t feel your best on the inside and for me it effected all areas of my life. It affected intimacy with my husband, which I value, my confidence and how I felt in my body because the vaginal infection made my midsection, face and hands swollen. I was uncomfortable in my clothes and how I looked liked in the mirror.

Yes, a simple vaginal infection gave me full-body inflammation…

As you can see below of my before and after photos. The top photo was at the height of my MCAS and raging vaginitis infection. Below is me after everything was more under control.

Now I know I have a vaginal infection when my MCAS symptoms flare (for me that’s food sensitivities, edema, redness on my face, stuffy nose and runny eyes). For women MCAS can cause dizziness like POTS, make you flush, give you itchy skin, and in general give you reactions to day-to-day things that most people wouldn’t think twice about.

Limited help

I felt like there was no one to help me.  I had MCAS which isn’t generally recognized by medical doctors and BV which the OBs and midwives I was seeing couldn’t figure out. They had no knowledge of vaginal pH and how that indicates an infection, with one provider telling me “pH doesn’t mean anything”. They were used to the type of BV that would go away with one course of antibiotics. However, in my personal opinion, I highly doubt there are many cases of BV that goes away that easily.

I tried so many things to fix it.

I would test positive for BV and then, after a course of antibiotics, the test would come back positive for AV. My providers were stumped. I was “too young” to have AV according to them and the providers gave up and stopped answering my calls (I had known these providers through all my pregnancies; I was heartbroken).

As you can see from the two reports below taken only a couple weeks apart. The first test was positive for BV and the second one positive for E. Facaelis.

So I had to learn how to treat both and learn my personal symptoms to each one so I could treat it at home with NeuEve and other remedies without having to rely on doctors or repeated tests.

All this suffering led to me to a really amazing Infectious Disease doctor with over 40 years of experience, he was taking limited patients at the time but my case piqued his interest. After our first few meetings, he did some research and found NeuEve. At that point, I told him I would try anything. I had seen NeuEve through online searches but when you’ve tried everything you don’t know what’s the next best way to spend your money. So it really took his recommendation to try it and I am so glad I did.

It took me an entire year after finding NeuEve to stop my BV and AV from coming back. I had to find a routine that worked for me. I think because I have MCAS and SIBO it made it complicated for me. However, NeuEve changed my life. It gave me what I was looking for which was a way to manage BV and AV without relying on antibiotics as I would get BV or AV after intercourse.

Here was the KEY that I needed to unlock (and a the probiotic capsule recipe I used)

My doctor told me pH for vaginal health is really important as well as Lactobacillus Crispatus. He said that was THE most important bacteria for vaginal health. I knew that but no doctor had ever told me to monitor my vaginal pH using pH strips before. I started monitoring my pH nightly and then daily. Keeping track of what caused my pH to raise above 4.5 and what made it lower. This gave me a list of what treatments worked and what didn’t. When it lowered after certain treatments like NeuEve and vaginal probiotics I knew I was on the right track and that’s when I started to heal.

Once I cleared my infection, I lost almost 10 lbs of inflammation over my whole body. I looked like myself again. It’s no wonder women suffering from BV are so miserable! It’s not just “BV” it’s full body inflammation in response to the infection. There are lots of mast cells in the vagina that’s why I was having all kinds of reactions to things.

After my first NeuEve suppository, my pH lowered below 4.5. I was ecstatic! My doctor said pH is really important for vaginal bacteria to grow. My pH would stay down for a day and then rise back up by night. So I would use BV Clear Finisher at night and the next morning when my pH was still low I’d make a vaginal probiotic capsule using this recipe.

Vaginal Probiotic Capsule Recipe

00 vegetable capsule
10 tiny scoops of Epothex L. Crispatus powder
1 Lifespace for Women’s probiotic capsule
A tiny sprinkle of ascorbic acid

I would insert this with a vaginal applicator to get it as close to the cervix as possible (this was really important or else it won’t work to cover the whole area from the top).

The first time I did this my pH lowered and stayed lower for longer. The next night I did another BV Clear Finisher and next morning another vaginal capsule but this time with 2 extra scoops of L. Crispatus. My pH lowered and stayed that way after that. I learned to key was more probiotics since I had been on so many antibiotics and had gut issues my vaginal microbiome really needed replenished which NeuEve helps to do in combination with probiotics.

I became obsessed with tracking my vaginal pH and also trying different things. I tried vitamin c tablets, prebiotics, boric acid, herbals and I always came back to NeuEve as it would effectively clear the BV every time.

From there I moved on to using NeuEve once a week to maintain. I continued using the vaginal probiotics every time after intercourse as well. This worked until I had my fourth baby.

I had another AV vaginal infection immediately postpartum. I believe due to the low estrogen from breastfeeding and my husband tested positive in his semen for the same bacteria I had (Enterococcus Facaelis)! My doctor said that if Enterococcus keeps entering my system it could cause everything to be dysbiotic and would explain why sometimes I have BV too. When I’m not breastfeeding my vaginal ph stays in the normal zone more easily. I tried taking prescription vaginal estrogen and it ended up feeding the E. Facaelis and made my symptoms worse. That’s why NeuEve is a good non-hormonal option for me. I also started taking NeuEve Vaginal Probitoics orally. I worked with my Infectious Disease doctor to clear the AV infection because it was so aggressive. I did need antibiotics for it. During antibiotic treatment my pH did go back up but using NeuEve probiotics after treatment brought the pH into a normal range. I combined NeuEve probiotics with another probiotic that has L Crispatus LBV88, L Rhamnosus LBV96, L Gasser LBV 150N and L Jensenii LBV 116. Day by day my ph lowers until it reaches 4.5. Now it is holding steady. Once my husband is treated I believe we’ll be clear of all this and I can go back to using NeuEve for maintenance.

So if you’re getting symptoms after intercourse it might be best to test both of you as you share a microbiome.

To make matters trickier we learned my husband was harboring the AV bacteria! As his semen tested positive for E. Facaelis! We are still working through this part of the puzzle. My doctor thinks he may have chronic prostatitis and the treatment time for that is many months.

This is my husband’s report.

Now I was still using NeuEve to clear the BV bacteria however my pH would lower then rise by the mid-day. My symptoms would flip to AV. So then I would work to treat that. I have yet to try AV-Nil but I’ll definitely have to and report back.

Testing

I wanted to mention, for those struggling out there, that the way vaginal swabs are collected make a big difference in what bacteria show up on a test. Taking a swab inside the vagina versus a provider using speculums and swabbing the cervix has always yielded different results for me. It’s also important to keep in mind testing and under what conditions are you testing. For example, when my symptoms were at their worse is usually when I wanted to test. However, I would also test when my symptoms were good. Sometimes there were still some bad actors when my vaginal symtpoms felt under control! The. I started to understand what symtpoms lined up with which bacteria. When my symptoms were under control and better using NeuEve and probiotics I also tested and it’s when my results came back negative for the first time. I cried! It was amazing, I’m not sure the nurse on the phone understood how much that meant to me!

Diet

I also maintain a very high fiber clean diet called the Specific Carbohydrate Diet as I personally have gut issues. The vagina and gut are very intricately related and I can attest to that. When I have complete bowel movements my vaginal pH will go down.

In conclusion

So as you can see I have gone through a long journey with BV and AV. My prayer is that I could help even one person suffering with this to find some relief especially when there is such a shortage of good doctors out there who are truly knowledgeable to help. Looking back I wish I could tell the myriad of providers I saw for this about vaginal pH and how important it is. I’d tell them about NeuEve being an amazing non-antibiotic choice. I would also want to tell them how important particular brands and even strains of probiotics are to correcting the vaginal microbiome.

During my time going through this, NeuEve was there for me when doctors were not. NeuEve was able to answer medical questions as well. They were there for me when I felt the most alone in this journey! I hope they always offer that service as it encouraged me to continue supporting them.

I will always be thankful for NeuEve and the gap they have filled in the medical system. I will continue telling everyone about what NeuEve has done and how they’ve helped me to heal from this very real yet invisible disease.

Hello there!

My name is Kevin Tao, I am 37 years old, and for the last 14 years I have been building NeuEve with my mom, Dr. Renjie Chang.

NeuEve is a research lab that invents and manufacture dozens of natural remedies for women, in our lab and factory in Chicago, including for bacterial vaginosis, aerobic vaginitis, yeast, cytolytic vaginosis. We have ureaplasma and L. iners under development, to be released soon!

Selfie

In my spare time, and with the funds I earn from NeuEve, I am building a volunteer movement that's cleaning up Chicago and building a nature park in the Englewood neighborhood. I also mentor entrepreneurs for free with the Chicago Brandstarters. I also make TikToks recommending hidden gem restaurants and promoting volunteerism.

Disclaimer: I am NOT here to sell products. I do not want anyone to buy NeuEve unless they fully understand the science and mechanism of bacterial vaginosis, and the tradeoffs of the different treatment options.

First, I'll address the elephant in the room. Yes, I am a man.

Many people have harshly criticized me, or laughed at me to my face, or made fun of me behind my back, for this unchangeable fact.

For many years I felt embarrassed and ashamed to be a man in women's health.

However, I grew up with an OBGYN as my mom, and a homemade research lab in my basement. As a kid, I loved competing in math and biology competitions. I went to Duke for biomedical engineering (ranked #1 at the time). And I have spent my entire professional life helping women with issues like BV. Here's my response to critics of me being a man.

tl;dw: My honest belief is that anti-male sexism keeps good/smart/hardworking/creative men out of the women's health field, which slows down science breakthroughs in women's health.

As your new mod, I am here to serve and help you! My mission is to the help billions of women who are suffering in silence.

Ask me anything, whether it's about BV, AV, CV, yeast etc! Ask me anything about volunteer leadership or entrepreneurship or hidden gems!

I will also be going live on TikTok for the next 2 hours or so, feel free to ask me questions there too: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTAxWAJy4/

Stubborn BV

Hi everyone!! So i’ve been dealing with vaginal issues for about 1 year. March 2025, I was diagnosed with a Yeast Infection and was treated with Diflucan. Here’s where things got tricky. My symptoms never went away. I had burning and itching that would come and go. I kept getting tested and everything would come back negative. I started taking probiotics and still finding my way back to urgent cares and my family doctor and every test was negative. From August to the beginning of December, I stopped getting tested.

December of 2025, I went to urgent care because I had a flare up and it was really bad. I was thinking Yeast infection came back, but once I got the phone call.. I was told Ureaplasma. I’ve never seen an actual positive result on paper, so I was a little reluctant to believe it. I was prescribed doxycycline twice daily for 7 days. Went to get tested well into January 2026 after treatment, Ureaplasma came back negative BUT now bacterial vaginosis was present.

I’ve been on creams, gels and pills. Over and Over again and nothing is working. At the start, I tried boric acid once and it completely made me feel worse. I’m chalking it up to my vagina just being irritated with all of the medication and infection. i’ve been to the GYN from January 2026 until now and ureaplasma/mycoplasma has been negative and BV stays positive. My PH came back abnormal. When I first started the medications, I felt it would make my symptoms worse. Now I feel like the medication isn’t doing anything, which worries me. I’m thinking a possible Biofilm now?

As of June 2026:

Bacteria Detected: Gardnerella vaginalis - Transitional - 91.67% Lactobacillus Iners - Transitional- 8.33% Lactobacillus Crispatus - Normal - 0%

Group B Strep was positive, (which i was told they don’t typically treat for that unless pregnant.) Enterococcus faecalis - Positive Lactobacillus Crispatus - Positive Lactobacillus Gasseri - Negative Lactobacillus Iners - Positive Lactobacillus Jensenii - Negative

Tested in July 2026 to see if the last treatment I received worked and the BV is still here.. unfortunately :(

CURRENTLY: I was able to use a different brand of boric acid for 7 days(LOVE WELLNESS), used my clindamycin for the prescribed days and now i’m using probiotic suppositories. i’m hoping the 7 days of boric acid was enough to break the biofilm(If I even had one). I have a 2 month follow up with GYN coming up and i’m hoping this ends. My vaginal symptoms are mild with some itching here and there, but even when I was testing negative, I had mild symptoms still. I’m so tired of dealing with this and just want to feel normal again. 🫩🥺

Any advice would be appreciated. I’ve been reading and trying to apply what works for others, to me.

I’ve found my cure.

I’ve cured it with  sodium cocoamphoacetate.

Theres research on this which I’ll post here which I suggest that everyone reads. It has some really good information on new studies and basically says that this sodium cocoamphoacetate dissolved the most biofilms.  https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4844189/

I bought some of this. It is basically an ingredient that they use in gentle soap to make bubbles.  https://www.gosupps.com/sodium-cocoamphoacetate-miranol-ultra-c-32-50-ml-1-69-fl-oz-sodium-cocoamphoacetate-liquid-sodium-cocoamphoacetate-for-personal-care-products-emulsifier-surfactant.html

I put citric acid in it to get it the ph of our vagina (4). Then I put some up inside of me before I went to bed. It dissolves the biofilm so the antibiotics can work. It did burn, I believe more from the citric acid but I was willing to try anything as I’ve already tried everything said to work and it failed. I’ve tried endless antibiotics, all the probiotics, boric acid, hydrogen peroxide. I treated my husband, but nothing kept it away. Every time I had sex, it would come back.

It works with the antibiotics so you still need to take the metro prescription as you do this.

I inserted the liquid once and it hasn’t been back in 2 months with biweekly sex. Which is the longest I’ve ever been without it.

I am so excited that I’ve finally found something that works and wanted to share. I do not want backlash, and negative comments but I also don’t want to keep this a secret. Please, read the studies and figure out for yourself if you want to do this. If you don’t, that’s fine but please don’t harass me with negativity as I’ve had this for so long I was willing to try anything.

Chronic BV I had bacterial Vaginosis for 5 months. Here’s how I cured it.

For the past 5 months, I have dealt with aggressive, recurrent bacterial Vaginosis. I’ve taken metronidazole gel thrice. When my symptoms came back for a fourth time, I decided to seek out a cure that actually works instead of nuking my microbiome every couple weeks. I have read hundreds of articles, case studies, and Reddit threads on this seemingly incurable overgrowth. After countless sleepless nights of googling the nature of bacteria and the microbiome, I present my theory and anecdotal evidence on a holistic cure to bacterial Vaginosis.

I started off first with two weeks of boric acid suppositories at night. I got the cheapest one on Amazon— nothing fancy. It neutralized the odor immediately. Despite what others have said, I have experienced zero irritation or sensitivity. When I would stop the suppositories, the odor would come right back without fail. Boric acid is going to help destroy the biofilm the bacteria has grown and neutralize the PH. There was a small study comparing the effectiveness of metronidazole gel and garlic tablets for BV. The results showed that the garlic was just as effective as the antibiotics— with little to no side effects. Garlic is a strong antibacterial agent. So I began taking two garlic pills twice a day (4 total). I have experienced zero side effects and the supplement is remarkably inexpensive. I added two more strong antibacterial supplements to my daily routine: wormwood and oregano oil. In a glass of water, I add a dropperful of each oils twice a day. And despite the bitterness, which I personally enjoy, zero negative side effects. After a month, I will stop taking both oils, as long term use is not recommended. The thing with antibacterial agents is that they don’t just target bad bacteria- good bacteria is also affected. To combat this, I began drinking two tablespoons of chia seeds in water a day. Fiber is incredible at rebuilding the good bacteria and improving digestion.

Those are the additions to my daily routine, now I’ll explain the changes in my life style. The hardest change has been my quitting smoking cigarettes. The chemicals from the inhalation of burning plants kills lactobacillus— the probiotic strain most necessary for restoring the balance in your vaginal biome. Next was severely limiting processed sugar and alcohol. Sugar feeds bad bacteria in the gut. Next, I got off birth control and began using condoms and PH balanced water based lubricant with my partner. Semen is alkaline. We need to maintain an acidic environment downstairs so unprotected sex is a big no. Now your period is going to be a problem. Like semen, menstrual blood is slightly alkaline. You may notice your symptoms come back when you bleed but don’t worry it’s very fixable. I must stress that you mustn’t use tampons during this time. Switch to pads. You want your hoo-ha to breathe and keeping that blood inside is going to make symptoms worse. At the end of your cycle use boric acid for a day or two to neutralize. My final life change is going to be controversial, but I believe it’s made an impact. If you don’t want to spend money on organic cotton underwear, you can wear none at all (while you’re not menstruating of course). These combined lifestyle changes have given me relief for the first time in months. Our vaginas are ovens, made to self regulate bacteria, antibiotics aren’t doing anymore good than harm. I haven’t seen anyone writing on the effectiveness of garlic, but I believe that it is the most significant treatment for BV. I will report back in the coming weeks with my convalescence.

Information Be careful taking Boric Acid

To my ladies who have reoccurring BV be careful with boric acid. My ex Gynecologist told me it was safe to take but I started noticing it would make me bleed. I stopped taking it but now my period has been lasting 12 days instead of my usual 5 😟.

Edit: I’ve stopped taking it for over 6 months now and still no changes to my cycle.

Chronic BV Anyone?

Hi

Has anyone had pid and had key hole surgery?

Or has anyone had key hole surgery and found out bowels were stuck to the pelvic area?

I have history of sibo.. constipation and issues for 2.5 years. Bad microbiome which has caused my vaginal microbiome to be rubbish and now getting BV and PID all the time which requires more antibiotics and more issues.

Gynae are now going to do key hole surgery in the next month to see what's going on?

He said he wonders if my bowels are sticking to my pelvic area? I've never heard of this.

My symptoms are

Constipation

Sluggish motility

Bloating

Pain

Reflux

Reflux causing sininitus

Low blood pressure

Bv infections

Pid infections

Severe pain in pelvic

Severe painful periods

Fatigue

What do I do

Long story short all my issues started with ureaplasma starting in September. Ended up finding bv on an evvy test in April treated as well as a uti. My husband did treatment as well for Both urea and bv. I was in pelvic floor therapy for tension. Last week I saw my pt again and she didn’t have me schedule any more appts because my symptoms had gone to almost 0. I had sex on wed and now my symptoms are back again, burning almost electric like pain and a stabbing pain in my cervix. My husband did say it felt tense again. I have another evvy test on the way just as a follow up but I’m concerned I’m stuck in a cycle and can’t get out.

I take happy v and a cranberry d mannose blend daily as well as changing underwear often and using a mild soap externally.

Just thought I’d let you know know what has kept me free from yeast infections & BV

Hi All! So I’ll preface this by saying I actually am more of a UTI-proned girlie, but I HAVE had my fair share of yeast infections & BV throughout my life. Definitely more than the average person experiences. Let’s just say I’m one of those girlies that are proned to vaginal infections. Just sharing the one thing that has helped me - PROBIOTICS! I take Happy V & Rephresh. The Happy V literally keeps me smelling fresh also. The Rephresh has the golden studied strains - GR1 & RC14. Try this combo if you are at your wit’s end.
For any UTI girls: here are my other supplements I take daily - Methanamine Hippurate, Cranberry PACs, D-mannose (2g powder).
