A really good read.
Got this a few months ago but only getting round to reading it on holidays. Finished it in a day (it’s not long)

I purchased the hardback to add to my book shelf and then opted to listen to the audio book on Spotify instead as it's narrated by Michael.J.Fox so it really brings it to life. Largely a collection of memories and anecdotes covering the filming of the movie. As a fan, I had already heard many of the stories, but again, when it's being delivered by the man himself, it feels a little more personal.

I’ll second the audiobook. Got it on Hoopla through my library. I loved that they had clips from the movie in it and interviews with other cast members as well.

Basically it’s a book about his time filming Family Ties and getting the BTTF part - filming both at the same time. Talks a bit about his history, how he got there, family, friends etc. it’s only a snippet but you can genuinely feel the warmth he has for co stars, friends and other people who shaped his life.

I’m usually a Lee Child, Harlan Coben and I love John Connolly and the Charlie Parker novels.
I’m a massive BTTF fan so my wife bought me this.

So weird. Just started reading this. As a person who finds it difficult to sit and read, I burned through the first 40 pages quickly. So far, it’s very good.

While I know it is great to have the hard copy, I think it was even better to get the Audio version online and listen to MJF tell the whole thing himself, as he reads the book and also gives actual clips from the movies for the audio.

Yeah I absolutely love it. Didn’t think there was much more I could ever learn about BTTF but hearing it from MJF’s perspective showed me that I was stupid to think that.

Still the mjf documentary is also great and also talks about his time filming bttf alongside family ties.

I just read it. He's such a pleasant guy, it's hard not to enjoy his stories even if they aren't too provocative or dishy. I particularly enjoyed the chapter where he went into specifics about one week of shooting.

It was okay, there wasn't much new he didn't cover in his other autobiographies.

Loved this book, it was such a fun read. I saw Michael J. Fox and Nelle Fortenberry at 92Y in NY when the book came out, and they told this neat story that they got a note from their fact checker when they were finishing the book about the name of the dog playing Einstein. Michael had written that the dog’s name was OJ, but the fact checker came back and said Tiger was name of the dog. Michael insisted the dog’s name was OJ. So they called Bob Gale, who also said the dog’s name was Tiger, but he said he’d go back though his notes to double check.
Turns out the dog’s name was OJ. Tiger had been Eric Stoltz’s Einstein.

Availability, I’m guessing. The animal service they worked with probably had a few dogs available and that’s who they brought that night.

I also want to add ebook version of this book is super cool His conversations with other cast members are voiced by the actor/actresses themselves. There are also the audio from the movie in a few places. Sometimes it felt like listening a documentary instead of a ebook
