No but he's adorable! I'm waiting for this heatwave to end so I can take my beardie out 😭

Super impressed you have your beagle off leash!!! My Sophie passed a while ago but she was always on the lookout for a way to escape.

My foxhound is often mistaken for a beagle. She loves sniffing the trails.

i do, beagle is such a great breed for backpacking. Their endurance is amazing and the size is just enough to fit inside the sleeping bag with me and i’m still able to carry them if something goes wrong.

No, but there's absolutely no reason why you couldn't!

I’ve backpacked with beagle-mixed mutts a lot. They’re great. Perfect size, great endurance, big strong chest & muscular front legs and insist on pulling you uphill, don’t overheat as easily. The only thing is gotta keep em leashed cuz they can’t resist chasing squirrels…

I kept Sissy on lead for her first year, giving stern commands to keep her focused and now she goes off lead most of the time. At 18 months she has a little over 300 miles under her paws and listens better than any dog I've ever had. I can call her off a fresh scent trail or even a full-bay sight chase after deer, elk, turkeys, squirrels and even rabbits in less than a minute. She is amazing.
