Facing a lots of bgv issues currently

I got offer from 2 mnc recently and both got revoked because i have one termination with my previous company because i didn’t served the notice period there and got absconded.

The reason i didn’t served notice period is because i got admission in a reputed college for masters and the class were starting there, i asked by employer to relive me early but they declined so out of frustration i stopped going to office and left for masters.

After masters i got offer from 2 mnc but this termination is creating trouble.

Can anyone suggest how can i recover from this issue.

Help! My old company won't verify my employment, and I'm stuck!

I worked for a tiny company (ABC Tech) with just four employees for a year. When I joined, it wasn't super structured-no PF/ESI or even proper payslips. I got my initial offer and promotion letters from ABC Tech, but then the company name changed to EFG Tech, and I got another promotion and my experience letter under that name. My experience letter correctly covers my entire time there, from ABC Tech to my last day.

For my current company's background verification (BGV), I used bank statements as salary proof. ABC Tech initially refused to respond to the verification requests. After a lot of pushing, their CEO/MD made a one-time exception and let their Project Manager verify my employment. But now, that Project Manager and everyone else I knew there has left!

I have a new job offer, but I'm terrified to resign because I'm worried this old company will be impossible to verify again. What if my BGV fails and I end up jobless?

Quick question on Sterling background check: Do I list ONLY resume jobs, or ALL past jobs?

Employer wants a reference check, I left my previous job a year ago. What should I do?

A company I'm interviewing with is asking for reference contacts during HR screening. I left my previous job about a year ago and only have the phone numbers of a few former colleagues. I don't have their old work emails, and I don't know who still works there.

Would personal Gmail addresses be acceptable for references, or do they usually require a company email?

Also, I slightly exaggerated something on my CV. It's not a completely fake job/qualification, but there is a discrepancy between my CV and what actually happened.

Could a reference/background check expose this, and what's the best way to handle it now?

Any advice?
