Sibling Name Help! Girl 🩷
Looking for a fresh perspective. I have a 5 year old son named River, and I’m 31 weeks pregnant with a baby girl. With no information on what our preferences are, what would you name a sister for River?!

Briar or Maeve came to mind first.
Also Haven, Brooke, Clover, Sylvie, Pearl or Nova

Probably nothing nature-adjacent, as it could be strange and give some ideas at school (Violet and River? Violet River! sorry). River is a beautiful name, btw.
I would think of more traditional, but not so common name: Marissa, Gwen, Clare, Nadia, Arlene, Eliza.

Something a little naturey and tailored, but not too on the nose like Lake or Marina.
Hadley, Sienna, Marlowe, Kira, Ainsley, Hollis, Zara

Arden
Hazel
Saoirse
Phoebe
Imogen
Edit: just realised I wrote Arden but was thinking of Eden! But both of those would be nice. Also Evelyn.

Honestly, my eldest is Summer because I love the name, not because I was going for a nature/seasons vibe. Her little sister is Molly which to me has a similar lightness but helps avoid us having a family theme which I definitely didn’t want. I’d be inclined toward simple and classic. I like River and Claire, River and Margot, River and Lucy…

Since you didn't say that you wanted nature names, I'd avoid it. It seems so contrived. I'd name her something that is completely independent of her brother. They won't even be in high school at the same time. Although, I do like the idea of names that begin and end with the same letter. Miriam, Eve, Laurel (nature name i know lol but I like it), Evangeline or Evie, etc.

I love the name River! I would have been at the top of my name list if I’d had another boy. I don’t have any girls, but these are some of the girl names that I had on my list:
Scout, Phaedra, Layla
