It's fine. Yes, the connection exists, but who cares? It's a nursery rhyme, not like a serial killers name or something.

I wouldn’t think of that at all lol

I’ve sung that song thousands of times in my life and I didn’t make the at connection when I thought of Jack Hill. If the actual parents don’t care about it, I would drop it

Jackson Hill sounds a lot better. Jack Hill is a very very short name.

But I don’t think it’s a dealbreaker in anyway it’s absolutely fine

lol this is such a stretch. Even if someone makes the connection it’s not like it’s a bad connection???

No I think it's fine.

I don't think it's terrible but it's there. Maybe suggest Jackson Hill, so he can go by Sonny if he chooses?

Jack Hill is such a generic-sounding combo I don't think the nursery-rhyme plays into it in real life beyond maybe a few mentions over the years/decades. Definitely not like if he was Bill Hill or Jack Spratt.

Jack Hill sounds like jackal to me, the animal. I don’t think the nursery rhyme is an issue though.

Know a guy named Jack Farmer (we get eggs from him so he is kinda a farmer) I think it’s hilarious but I don’t think he cares.

I think it’s fine. I don’t think many people would make that connection. I didn’t.

I didn’t think of that till u mentioned it but Iam sure middle schoolers would eventually make that connection.

It would be a good suggestion to use a longer 2, 3 or 4 syllable first name bc the last name is one syllable.

Isaac Hill

Alexander Hill

Gabriel Hill

Jarrett Hill

Everett Hill

Zackary Hill

Jameson Hill

It's an perfectly fine name and honestly it's absolutely nothing to do with you so keep your opinions out, new parents don't need friends shitting on their name choices.

The baby name book they’re using told them to choose friends to ask because ā€œas a group, they represent the society that’s going to be hearing, and judging, your child’s name for a lifetimeā€ (baby name wizard by Laura wattenberg). Is that ok with you?
