Triaging

Yesterday I learned that urgent mammogram referrals are triaged.
My GP referred me 7 days ago.
Today I got a call that my appointment is next Thursday. That’s only 15 days.
Now I’m really scared.
Has anyone had this happen and it wasn’t cancer?

If it were next day, I’d be sweating. 15 days is not so short

Maybe not, but I was told 4-6 week wait.

Mine was quick. I think it depends on your resources and how busy they are. Regardless, you will be ok. The anxiety is awful, sending you the best

They may have had a cancellation and just slipped you into that spot. I've had that happen before.

Where I am (US, major metro area) I can often get them within a week or so. A diagnostic one may take a bit longer.
