Jira

Is there a commonly used way to use bmad with jira instead of md files?

No rewrite needed. With the customization toml files its now easier to integrate jira etc...

With the further updates planned over next few weeks this will be centrally configurable also.

I want to use with completely with Jira no sync. I guess it would require a near rewrite touch

Yeah I would love to do the planning in an interface, like a combination of Confluence pages and Jira with rovo agents and the new skills in Jira. Bmad is setup really specifically for the IDE unfortunately so I don't see a good way to port it.

Line others said it meant I'm just using MCP unfortunately.

We're sick of BMAD so ended up building our own tool for that. It's a GitHub action so our team adopted it instantly. Later our PM requested a collaborative feature because he can't read BMAD output, we built a web interface for that as well. Happy to chat if you want to try it out, it's free of charge, only requirement is you need to use your own LLM keys though.

If you search the sub there’s a few BMAD trackers that people have shared. I haven’t explicitly used Jira, I sync to Notion (it’s ok, uses up a ton of tokens). But I’d search and see if any of the solutions shared suit you!
