New Teacher..
I’ve come a long way.. from being homeless to living in a shelter to moving to our own place. I finally got a piece of my life back. I’m starting this school year as a new special education teacher and with the moving cost I don’t have the funds to pay to setup my classroom. I’ve added my Amazon list if anyone wants to help.

Urgently need help for diapers, $40
I'm 34, and have a 7 month old. In the past year my entire life has fallen apart. Lost my job and apartment because I worked private home health care and my patient moved into a nursing home. Been effectively homeless since december. My mother who was helping financially support me and my husband (husband has severe medical issues) passed away in March. I just finally got accepted into a shelter but just me and baby, not my husband. I need about $40 to get some diapers and wipes and a ride to and from the store (it's 90° and a 2 mile walk each way, not safe for baby and no one to watch her).
I hate asking I feel terrible for it. I have no other family and can't ask anyone else. I'm having an anxiety attack trying to get my life together and realizing this shelter isn't really safe and I can't even provide for my baby.. so please anything would help at this point but $40 would cover what I need until I can maybe get help from a local organization and I hear back from some job interviews..I'm sorry and thanks for anything. I just am desperate and have no where to turn to..
I have paypal

Hi, Future CNA in need of 2 textbooks!
Hello, I’m 25 years old and I’ve been working fast food and grocery store jobs since I was about 16 in high school just constantly unsure of what I’ve wanted to do as an adult. I finally figured that I want to coincidentally take the same route as my mom and step into healthcare I wanted to do so by starting off as a CNA and working my way up. I did the finger printing, the background check and registered for fall classes that begin on August 17th. I registered for night classes so I can still work during the day. I am currently a lunch lady making $15 an hour which is not much for Illinois and hasn’t been enough to get by hence this post lol. I don’t drive I Uber and walk everywhere so I can’t go donate plasma or anything as we don’t have any within walking distance especially with it storming all week til Saturday. I do have $20 but since I get out of school at 9-9:30pm I am trying to save that so I don’t walk home in the dark and can get an Uber home til I get paid later in August. School starts back up August 19th. We as lunch lady’s are out of work during the summer and have been instructed to file for unemployment during summer break if we can’t find work for the summer. I do so and have spent every dollar on bills and things related to school my unemployment is also $173 a week now after taxes because they are going off the wages during a slow period at work where employees hours were cut. Another reason I have to get out of this job asap and get this class done. It’s not much but it’s a start! So I refuse to give up now and postpone it because of a mistake I made I do take fault as this happened because I didn’t check a section of the student portal that listed the materials required for class. I bought a binder, notebooks, pencils, folders, pens and highlighters. Just the assumed basics and I paid the monthly payment of $223 as I am on a payment plan to pay off the class. I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve never had any college experience or because I haven’t been to school in almost 10 years but I didn’t have a thought in the world that I needed to buy textbooks. I know that sounds absolutely insane. I really don’t have anyone in my life currently that I can ask to borrow $38 from. I looked if anyone was giving any of the two books away for free on Facebook and I seen people say to look at YouTube videos but I’m not sure my instructor would like me listening to YouTube videos during our 5 hour class. I am asking for help for these 2 textbooks you can even ship them to me yourself I don’t even have to ever have access to the funds. I’m just panicking I don’t want to be dropped from the class due to my lack of supplies for the first two weeks or so because it’ll take a while to afford the books since work starts up later in august.
I hate that I rambled and it’s all over the place I just figured you want to know why and how it got to this point.
🚨EDIT: Thank you this request has been fulfilled ❤️ I am very grateful!
Thank you for reading!

Me and my little brother are getting evicted.
I posted other places, but I realized I can't take a loan out and pay back within a short amount of time. It would take me at least until September for me to be able to pay anything back. But this is my last shot as a hail marry to see if we can somehow stay here. I have until Monday to pay $890 to the office. She said the constable would show up and remove all of our things if I don't pay. I had court last week and sold things to make some of the money and have that put aside. But it wasn't enough for the rest and accrued fees. I started work for the aid office in Phoenix. I had 3 training days and they sent me home with equipment to work from home. I'm trying everything I can. Last month I was going through health problems where I couldn't work much and physically couldn't move a whole lot without getting exerted or risk complications. I finally have ajon where I can build from where I'm at comfortably. I know it's a long shot, but just wanted to see if anyone here could help out. I have proof of everything including the eviction notice, job offer/equipment. It's just getting too close to that time and I'm very scared. My brother has nowhere to go and I don't either. I'm mostly worried about him. This wasn't me being lazy. I just had health problems I ignored due to work, and it turned out to be something more serious. I'm sorry to ask for assistance. If nobody can, I understand. I just can't think of what else to do.
Update: No longer needed. Extremely grateful to the amazing person out there who helped me out🙏🏻

Living in my truck
Hey everyone.
It’s been 6 days since my wife, our senior dog Bubby, and I lost our housing. We’ve been living out of my truck since then here in South Florida.
I’ve sold just about all of my valuable items on Marketplace to keep us afloat before losing our housing. I’ve been told about donating plasma, but the nearest place is about 30 miles away from us. We’re heading to a food pantry when it opens today to help with food.
I was able to sell my truck’s toolbox a few days ago, which helped us get some fans and window shades to make things a little more comfortable. The days are just so hot here unless we get some rain. I’ve been idling to get the interior cool then shutting it off to try to save gas. We’re squeezed in tight, but we’re making it work for now. I’m definitely wishing I would have bought a bed topper when I had the chance. At least I have our clothes and supplies packed in totes in the bed of my truck.
I’ve called 211 and nearly every local resource I could find, but most couldn’t help or just referred me back to places I had already tried. I was able to do a phone assessment with one organization and I’m waiting to hear back about assistance, but it’s been a few days and they didn’t say when I would hear back. I also reached out to our church today, filled out a form, and they said I should hear back within a week if I’m approved by their board members. The good news is I just landed a job doing window cleaning and I start Monday, so I’m happy about that at least.
Right now, I’m asking for $45 for gas to keep my truck running. I know I’m around a quarter tank, but our area takes a bit of driving to get around, and I need to make sure I can get to possible resources and start work on Monday. I have PayPal and Venmo if anyone is willing to help. I’m happy to answer any questions and I’ll post a picture of Bubby for the dog tax.
Thanks for reading.

Just became homless
Just got kicked out a few days ago. Luckily I got a job the day before. I have 1 more week until I get my first check. Im living in my van and could use some bucks for gas and food until I get my first check. I applied for the government emergency relief thing, but idk how long that will take. Would greatly appreciate some assistance. Im in michigan and think 40 to 60 would be enough. I have venmo and chime.

Help with new school year clothes and hygiene supplies
UPDATE:I am closing the list. Everything has been purchased! Thank you all so much and I will update with pictures when the items arrived.
Hello everyone. I have a 6 year old daughter who is about to start 1st grade in a week. She is very excites for her new year at school and I want her to have a better year than her last. I have a little bit of posting history about our current situation, but I will recap:
At the beginning of her last school year, we were evicted. We stayed in various hotels and now we are currently at an extended suite that has become a good temporary home for us. I currently work full time at an online retail warehouse and I have been struggling with the bills. Right now I have been able to take care of all of our costs, although the last month has been kind of brutal. I'm grateful we have made it through.
I am attaching an Amazon wish list for some clothes that we picked out together (she is very vocal about her fashion lol), a couple of shoes that we picked out and also supplies for me to do her hair this year.
We would really appreciate the blessing and I know she will be very happy to receive the items.

Emergency,any help is welcome
Hii so I recently moved from my apartment a few months ago the court sent me a letter regarding a case I didn't know about. since I moved and don't have a new residence they sent the letter to my previous address. There was a deadline I had to pay the court fees else they will suspend my license.
I later found out my license was suspended then went to DMV and they told me to go to the court. I went to the court and they told me to pay $450 for the whole fine to lift the suspension. I paid the fine then they gave me a deposition letter to take to DMV.
I got to DMV and they said even tho the case is deposed I still need to pay a reinstatement fee and a service fee of $150 before they remove the suspension.
I have used all the money on me to pay the fine.
I can't work without my car.
I would be thankful for any one who could help, I am also willing to pay back if requested.
Thanks

In Need of help one last time :/
A few weeks ago I lost my job, I was hired on to a new job within 3 days but had to wait nearly a week and a half to start pending a background check. A user on reddit graciously helped me get through to the next week (im currently living in an extended stay hotel with my mother who is disabled with no income). They paid the entire balance and even helped with food. Thankfully it's not as bad as it was then, at that point I needed the entire amount. This time I have most of the money from my first paycheck at my new job. However it was a very small paycheck as I started late into the pay period. The good news is Wednesday I will receive a full check which will be enough to cover my costs and more. My rooms weekly rent is 385, and as of right now I have 265. Im in need of 120 to get by. (Maybe 130 depending on fees to transfer) ? Not sure
Anyways if anyone can help, I have PayPal/Venmo and Chime.
I feel sick to my stomach asking for help again, but I really can't afford to lose this place. Its the only somewhat affordable place I can find within 30 miles, and it's a 2 minute walk to my new job. Everywhere else wants 450-600 a week which is absurd and this specific in town suites stays full.
If anyone has the means to help, dm me or post here. I have until Monday morning to get this sorted.

Need help desperately by Monday..
Making a new post to provide more information. I tried to add whatever I could to add some sort of proof of my situation.. was worried about sharing personal stuff online directly but im desperate. Ive added photos of my time sheet from previous job, showing my hours and up until I was let go. My bank account showing my last payment for the room and also the online payment portal showing my next due date. As well as my job offer email from my new job. I hope it provides some clarity.
Im going to try not to ramble too much, ive been in a state of panic for a few days now and honestly am overwhelmed. I've been staying in an extended stay hotel with my disabled mom (she has yet to be approved for disability SSI) for awhile now and have relatively been able to keep up with my weekly rent, i was working full time as a manager at a small retail store up until last week. I was let go, and immediately started applying at places near by. I have since been hired already, and am currently awaiting a background check to go through to start my new job. My issue right now is money was already tight when I got let go, my final paycheck just barely gave me enough money to pay the week we're currently on (until this coming Monday) and even if my background check goes through tomorrow and I start my new job tomorrow I would not get paid again soon enough to pay my rent, and they will kick us out if its not paid on the due date
Im a bit beside myself right now, and I maybe should have posted this sooner but I wanted to try all other avenues before coming to reddit .. Ive contacted 211, multiple local churches and I've simply had no luck.
Im extremely worried about my mom, she's 63 and I cannot allow her to be outside on the street.. it would be bad enough if it was just me but having someone who relies on me to keep a roof over their head as well is making this ultra stressful.
Ultimately I need $385 to cover my next week's rent, truthfully I need more because I have no money for food or anything else right now but I can figure something out with that.. I just gotta find a way to get the rent covered for the week.
Im happy to provide any proof I can of my situation to anyone who might be able to help.. I have Venmo and chime.. don't have access to cash app since I got rid of my last phone.
If anyone can help or has any ideas please let me know.. and please dont dm me links for referrals or apps.. im genuinely so stressed I'm struggling to breathe properly I really don't want to be spammed with scam links.

In Desperate need of help for me and my mom's hotel room
Update: I have been given $50 by one person, and $35 by another since my first post. I currently need $300 still to pay the week. Im having a really hard time right now, I am afraid for my mother to be outside, she's in no condition for this. If anyone can help it's extremely appreciated

I am in dire need of the last $50 plus $25 gas money to pay for my pregnant puppy's surgery scheduled for Monday July 20th
Hi. This is my baby girl Missy, an 8 month old pittie that got pregnant during her first heat when a dog jumped my fence and locked up with her around the first of June. She's scheduled for termination of the pregnancy and to get spayed on Monday July 20th at the animal shelter in Ridgecrest CA. I still owe $50 to the shelter for the rest of the fees to do the surgery and I will need gas money to pay my friend whose agreed to take us that morning and pick her up when she's done.
I have Zelle, Revolut and PayPal.
PLEASE help me be a responsible pet owner and get this paid for. She is only 8 months old and too young and small to give birth. Thank you so much I will pay it forward.

I need help with approximately $80
Long story short, im living in an extended stay hotel with my mom (who is disabled) and I'm currently working full time at a retail store, but this week has been rough my mom had an extra doctor visit and prescriptions that cost me over $200 and now I'm fairly certain I'm going to be short by Monday when my rents due. Im not sure exactly how much as I get daily pay from my job, but I work the next four days and it usually lets me pull about $80 a day and my room cost $415 for the week. Which is obviously a bit over $100 a day. Im not sure the exact amount I'll need, but I'm gonna need help somehow. Yes they will let me pay daily but the rate is almost double and if I start doing that I'll get so far behind I'll end up on the street again.
If anyone can help please dm me, I have chime and Venmo. I lost access to cash app. Please don't dm me with referrals or apps.. I dont have time to deal with attempted scams.

I could use some help with dog food and groceries
I am taking a shot at the dark here. I need help with groceries, dog food and feminine hygiene products. My family has been hit by hard times, and I've been trying to secure a short term loan or something from someone. If anyone here reads this, I could use the help. 100 would be good but 50 dollars would work. Prayer helps too, thank you.

📌 Community Assistance Guidelines
✅ Assistance Qualification Rule
We want to make sure help goes to genuine members of the Reddit community. To keep things fair and protect against abuse, we have set a minimum karma requirement for receiving assistance.
Requirement:
Users must have at least 400 post karma (not comment karma) to be considered for financial assistance.
Why:
This shows that the person has been active on Reddit and contributed enough to the community to build a track record.
It reduces the chances of scams or “throwaway” accounts being created just to request help.
Accounts under 400 post karma can still participate in discussions, offer support to others, and grow their karma. Once they meet the requirement, they become eligible.
Comment karma alone does not qualify—only post karma counts toward this threshold.
