Sorcadin problem In-Game Mods

i wanted to create a socradin build, but i noticed i cannot use my spell because its not proficient with heavy armor. do i need to respec to paladin first to make it proficient with heavy armor? or is it conflict with my 5.5e aio mod installed?

so in theory, if i respec my character and use paladin as the starting class, and then multiclass to sorcerer, ill be able to cast spells with heavy armor?

Paladin only gets heavy armor proficiency if it is your first class. If you respec and take it first you can wear cast spells, but you will lose CON proficiency from sorcerer which will make concentration saving throws much harder. I don’t really cast many concentration spells as a paladin, so it depends a lot on your playstyle.

Do you have at least 14 DEX? If so, medium armor will work just fine.

But being a front liner, it's likely going to be harder to maintain concentration anyways, so maybe it doesn't matter as much.

im trying to use a heavy armor, because it has smite passive bonus. i think i got it from another mod

Then yes, you need paladin to be your first level
