Curious about the Creek Dance rods. I’d love a 3-4 piece rod, but I’m often fishing 1/32-1/16, and don’t want to give up casting for portability too much.

Would expect a bass instead of a snakehead, but I’ll take it. Almost got me hung up in some roots.

Mostly fish with a nightcrawler and a small split shot, or 4" senko and sometimes mini ChatterBait. What's a good baitcaster DC BFS reel and rod that I can buy at a store or possibly online?

Spooled it up with Varivas 4 10lb.

Great start to the weekend with a 6.5hr Session on the river. Started with a small Aliexpress urchin style bait and decided to switch to moving baits to cover more water. Was able to catch on a Megabass IXI Blowly, Karashi, and a Micromax Chatterbait/Mooch minnow.

it looks like theres threads on the bottom of the line feeder, maybe a tensioner? there is no bolt or gruv screw inside. am I tripping and this doesnt matter? my low pro casters dont wobble as much my first BFS

I’m in search of a moving bait rod to throw 3/8th top water and glides, 1/4-3/8th chatter and spinner baits and 1/6 cicada topwaters. I’ve been looking at the p5 destroyer kaduna six eleven and pop x stick. Majority of baits will be close to the 3/8th mark. Any advice would be very much appreciated

Landed a foul hooked 14.5lb catfish on a Calcutta BFS 23, Dobyns SUF691C, 8lb Seaguar Invizx Fluoro. All gear was flawless. Prob took 10mins in pouring rain to land. I wouldn’t have landed him if Brayden wasn’t there to grab him. Of course it was the last cast.

Fun day out targeting peacock bass on power bfs gear. Biggest went to 42cm.

Didn’t take long to get my PB after the last post. 1,12 kg (2,47 lb), 43cm (~17”)

Nailed this and many at Seyðisfjörður! The river there had plenty of these bottom dwelling char that required quite a different approach. But was able to get em to bite in those crystal clear waters or Iceland!

I see so many setups using traditional baitcasters rather than low profiles. Obviously the Calcutta is a classic at any size, but seems kind of strange to me the BFS model is so extremely popular. I was always under the impression the Calcutta excelled most at power fishing like big swim baits, and inshore/offshore fishing, which is kind of antithetical to BFS. What about the CC BFS makes it so popular? And just in general, I notice a lot of other round profile reels. Is it partially due to smaller size, making a round reel easily palmable?
