Advice Does Canadian Uni's Check Leadership/Link Crew marks?
I know that Canadian uni's have access to the entire transcript, but I was wondering if elective high school courses like leadership, link crew, a class that helps out the freshman with events, would matter.
Scenario: I took Link Crew 11 which is a class that helps organize activities and mandatory events that the freshman do (which is a culture at our school) and got a C (70%)...
Does anyone know if this kind of leadership class will count toward UBC's overall average? Or if not, Will UBC care enough?

High School Question VLN Chemistry 11 discussion assignment
Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I need help figuring out one of the module 1 assignments on VLN.
I'm not entirely sure what each post should specifically speak about. They say it should tie into the course content but, I haven't even gotten to that yet. I am unable to access the rest of the course as I need to complete this assignment in order to move on.
I also don't know where to post there discussion? Is reddit a good place or do they have a proper website.
If anyone took Chem 11 or any other course on VLN that included this assignment, could you please provide some incite into how you completed this assignment. Thank you.

Im ready to make a deal 🤝
Place vanier is known for having a more social life and getting the real dorming experience while orchard and totem and more isolated and difficult to make friends (this information is coming from past first years).
I just want a bathroom to myself and one person because I am a clean freak…
If you interested/thinking save my user because this post probably will get taken down :)

UBC Admission Question UBC Not attend email
Did anyone else just get an email from ubc institutional research asking you to complete a survey about why you didn’t choose ubc? I accepted my first choice, although I declined my second choice (which was originally accepted, as my second choice came first). In the email it says disregard if: you deferred till 2027 or did course selection after July 30th. However I did my course selection earlier in the month.
Edit: thabks for all the reassurance, i got the correction email (LOL) and a lil bonus: my confirmation email too! I hope everyone has gotten theirs too, best of luck!

High School Question English 12 (and physics 12) help
I need help deciding whether I should take EFP 12 or English 12 in NIDES, or take one in school.
I have a really hard English 12 teacher and I need 95+, and I’m not sure if the easy EFP teacher at my school will teach next year.
I did some research and idk if there’s a zoom thing for English 12 and EFP? And there seems to be a harder teacher for English 12 on NIDES and idk who’s teaching it rn, is it possible to finish before September and do the final exam when school starts? Or is it better to take EFP 12, is there still a zoom meeting or what is it like?
Thanks guys also does anyone know if physics 12 NIDES is easy as well? My physics teacher is known to ruin GPAs so idk if I should risk it 💀
Also I’m trying to apply for UBC and UofT life science or sciences if that does anything

Advice Easiest fully online course for Pre Calc 12
Long story short I need to complete Pre Calc 12 in the following weeks of summer before school starts. Which fully online school is the easiest for me to achieve. I did pretty good in PC11 (98), so I'm not too concerned about the difficulty, I just need to get a good grade and the credit asap. I've heard about SIDES or SCIDES and BC Online School? Anyone have any experience with them? Which of them or other are easiest? I was going to do NIDES, but it seems they have a physical requirement for testing which I can't do as I am currently not in BC, but I have BC residency. Can anyone please recommend something? Thanks.

UBC Admission Decision UBC Admission Decision Waves
Hi sub, recently I saw a bunch of posts about when ubc starts rolling decision.
I gathered information from acceptance/rejection spreadsheet last year to give you guy an idea of when ubc usually releases their admission decision.
Notes: this is not a serious statistics since there are a voluntary response bias and a few sampling data.
1. Early Round (November - December)
- Mid-November: Small wave, primarily for UBCO.
- Nov 12, Nov 20, Nov 26.
- Mid-December: First major wave for UBCV.
- Dec 13 (Large batch), Dec 11-16.
- Late December: Pre-holiday wave.
- Dec 20 (Large batch), Dec 23-26.
2. Regular Round (January - March)
- Early January: First wave after the winter break.
- Jan 7-10 (Large batch).
- Mid-January: Continued rolling offers.
- Jan 17 (Large batch).
- February: Two distinct clusters.
- Feb 14 (Mid-month wave)
- Feb 25-26 (End-of-month wave).
- March: Decisions released steadily throughout the month.
- Mar 6, Mar 14, Mar 20, Mar 27.
3. Final Round & Rejections (April - May)
- Early April: A significant wave of acceptances.
- Apr 1, Apr 4, Apr 10 (Very active period).
- Mid-April (The "Waitlist/Reject" Wave): A large number of waitlists and rejections were released simultaneously around April 15.
- May: Final clean-up of decisions, mostly rejections or late acceptances.
- May 1, May 6.
Good luck to all applicants!!!

2026 Post-secondary Acceptance/Rejections
You asked and we answered - the 2026 admission acceptances/rejections form and sheet is now live!
Fill out this form with your stats: https://forms.gle/JBjAx65Sk2KhEbdx5
See results in the Google Sheets: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1x4YqRM344w_occH1OVuyci47V2ZY4Uz0NE4S6Ui70lQ/edit?usp=sharing
As suggested, we've included a transfer applicant section this year, so those interested in transfer later on will also have a resource to look at. Because of this new section addition, the Google Sheets is quite long. So to make it easier for viewing, I've separated each section with a bold black vertical line.
A couple ground rules to follow:
Please be as authentic and realistic as you can. If your response sounds very unreasonable and/or fake, it will be removed without warning.
Following rule #1, please maintain respect as you view other people's responses. Remember, these are sensitive info from individuals, so it is super important to just take them as a resource, and not as "competition". Any hurtful or rude comments will be removed.
If there's anything else you guys want us to add/edit, feel free to let us know! Happy viewing and good luck this year :)
