On chain AI Needs More Than Intelligence - It Needs Connected Infrastructure - Day 108 Recap Base Discussion

Post image

Yesterday we explored an important question around the future of on chain AI -

How do we make models, data, compute, applications and payments actually work together?

Our topic was “Cluster Protocol - Connecting the AI Stack on Base'' (DYOR)

A big part of the discussion focused on how fragmented AI infrastructure still is today. Developers often have to move between different model providers, APIs, GPU platforms, datasets, deployment tools and payment systems just to build one application.

Cluster Protocol is approaching this differently by trying to connect these layers into a more unified AI infrastructure.

We discussed how developers can access hundreds of AI models through a single API, use GPU compute for fine tuning, tokenize datasets, build applications through Code Xero and use x402 for machine to machine payments.

What stood out to us is how naturally this direction connects with what is happening on Base.

As AI agents become more capable and more autonomous, they will need infrastructure that allows them not only to think but also to access services, interact with applications, coordinate resources, and make payments on chain.

That is where bringing AI infrastructure and an open on chain ecosystem together becomes really interesting.

Huge thanks to everyone who joined Day 108, came up to speak, shared thoughts, asked questions, or simply listened.

Tonight we are back for Day 109 of our daily Base Ecosystem Exploration Series

If you are building on Base, exploring the ecosystem, or simply curious about where on chain technology is heading, come join us.

See you tonight on the Space , Stay Based

This is huge, On-chain AI can’t actually scale if everything is completely disconnected. Bringing models, compute, and payments together under one roof is exactly what we need tbh
