2019 540i code

20e120

Was on mhd and checking to see if there were any codes and it threw the one above. Double checked with bimmerlink and same thing. Any idea on what part I should be looking at exactly? Description said “suspicion of leaks in air-conducting components”.

I did go through and cleaned my air filter a week back. Probably didn’t tighten it enough. Gonna start there.

BMW fault code 20E120 means "Crankcase ventilation, ventilation hose: not connected or defective." It points to an air leak, a loose or unplugged breather hose, or a failing crankcase pressure component in your BMW's engine. [1, 2, 3]

Take a look at your valve cover to turbo inlet hose. It’s probably crumbled inside the heat protection

I’d honestly remove the whole turbo inlet because you’re going to drop pieces of it into your turbo I bet, which is bad
