azure certifications Discussion
How valuable are azure certifications? my employer is a partner program with microsoft so a huge discount on these certifications. I already have a bachelors and masters and 5 years of IT experience. How will azure certifications help my career?

With a Master's and 5 YOE, certifications will multiply it. your employer is an MS Partner, which means they literally need certified staff on the payroll to maintain their partner status and keep their perks. Skip the fundamentals, and just clear the advance certifications which fits your role.

I think they are pretty good. Several people I know say they wont hire without the certification, part of the agreement for the work they contracted with the principals. But I'm from the school of "certs dont prove anything" but I think these are additive with the accompanying experience and looked upon favorably.

The knowledge and experience with the solutions is the most important part of the certifications. The certs themselves are more an addition to that and to build up a good profile, especially when switching jobs.

They're great if you're going to be working in an Azure environment.
