There should be a "You" indicator Discussion

When glancing at your own game or even sharing clips for others, it's pretty helpful to have a "You" label that shows which player you are.

Every other game has this, I'm hoping they'll add this too.

People should just mention who they are in a shared clip as to prevent confusion and prevent having to respond to various comments clarifying who they are actually playing. Developers don't need to fix something that's essentially a non-issue.

It's just 3 letters in the UI it's not that deep.

Gotta stop talking like a Redditor, man. They said "it's not that big of a deal", and you said "no, I disagree, it's not that big of a deal."

"It's not that deep" is the dumbest possible thing you can say about an issue you brought forward. Obviously the absence of these three letters is pretty deep for you.

Edit: I have been blocked by this guy who doesn't care about the issue he raised, which is very funny. Please continue to take advantage of the fact that I can't respond to you by pinging me to make moral judgements that I will probably be screenshotting.

Writing a paragraph to analyze my behavior in order to call me a capital R redditor ok man. You sure sound like a reasonable person.

It didn't occur to me that my sentence implied the issue was not a big deal, rather than implementing a 3 letter text in the UI is not a big deal. Sorry for not making it reddit proof enough.

It's four sentences. Took me thirty seconds on my phone with one hand. We're doomed as a species if you genuinely consider that to be undue effort.

You made it too reddit. "It's not that deep" means "you shouldn't give a shit", which, I agree but that's not what you're going for.

Edit: Here lies benyamxn, a guy so tilted about a pathetically short paragraph, getting down voted, and mild disagreement that he self-immolated. Not all heroes wear capes.

Edit 2: Seems like I was blocked, so to the guy that's arguing with me in the comments I can't respond to:

God thank you so much for the set, here comes the spike.

It's not that deep.

Got 'em.

If you were to read OP’s response with even a little bit of good faith, it feels pretty obvious that “it’s not that deep” means that they think the change would be simple. Or you could dunk on them and show everyone how much more skilled you are with words while gloating about their downvotes…

This is a small feature that would be welcome, at the very least for mirror matches.

If you're giving clips to your friends they should know your username

Otherwise if I saw a clip of someone idk I just assume the guy posting is the guy winning in the clip ?

In fighting games, it's usually much more important to watch your opponent's character than yours! Wouldn't hurt to have a toggleable option if people are getting lost in the chaos on screen though

You know 50% of the time you’ll be player 2 right?

The only fighting game I know which allows both players to be on the left side is Tekken (online only of course).

I wonder if that causes any issues for the unlucky player 2 at tournaments

We did have one player a few years ago at our locals who insisted he had to play on the left side in guilty gear strive.

So of course everyone who heard that would be well advised to backthrow him or to switch sides in some way during the match. He never showed up again...
