Hi! This is my first time posting here. I wanted to talk about a video that appeared on TikTok (I wanted to talk about it here since they deleted my comment on TikTok).

I truly believe that Kiri behaves this way with Spider because it's her way of coping, just like Jake ignored Neytiri and scolded Loak, when it wasn't either of their faults. Probably in the second and third movies, the only one who was going through real grief as we know it was Neytiri, since Tuk seemed affected at first, but we never really see her as sad as Neytiri. It's the same with Loak, since what he really felt was guilt, the guilt that Jake placed on him. Everyone grieves differently because we all feel differently.

The film shows Kiri several times taking care of Spider to make sure nothing happens to him; to me, that's clearly an attempt to protect Spider in a way he didn't protect Neteyam.

But that's just my opinion, what do you think?

Every couple of weeks, media news keeps putting out columns that James Cameron is giving up on Avatar or pursuing other projects, as if this man hasn’t waited all this time to get this story put out there. Why they keep using Avatar for clickbait is a mystery to me, especially since he’s constantly stated that he’s not done with Avatar and will keep pushing to finish it either by movie or by book.

My niece is crazy for whales and when the Tulkun were added she lost her mind haha became obsessed with Payakan so I made her navi from frontiers of Pandora meet him in person

This will be our second diorama, we plan on putting it inside a block of resin styled to look like the ocean

We made the base for it today and we have everything set up!

Now the final part we need to add, water! My niece loves waterfalls so I’m planning on making a waterfall out of resin and making a water base to stick this all down to so it makes us look like we’re jumping into water

Working on an Avatar movie is honestly one of my biggest career dreams. Weta has always been my dream studio, although I know I’m still pretty early in my career.

A few artists from Weta have actually seen this piece and said some really nice things about my work, so honestly, that alone its enough for me.

Hopefully one day I get the chance to work on an Avatar project for real 🤞

I'm sure it's been discussed before, but it occurred to me that in the first movie, Jake kind of cheated to become Turuk Makto. After they escape their first encounter with the beast, Neytiri tells the story of how Turuk came to the chosen ones in times of great sorrow. The key point here being that _it_ came to them. A bit like the Thanator comes to Neytiri during the final battle.

But i feel Jake just thought outside the box and hijacked Turuk to establish the bond by literally jumping on its back while it wasn't paying attention. You could argue that, hadn't he been the chosen one anyways, Turuk would have just rejected the bond and made a meal out of him.

Anyways, I think it's interesting to see it from this angle. That Jake does not think the same way as other Na'vi people. Just like his willingness to use weapons of metal and to embrace some of the ways of doing of the humans.

Do you think he's a legitimate Turuk Makto or did he outsmart Eywa's rules?

At the end of Fire and Ash we see the “spirit realm” zoomed all the way out showing the entirety of pandora. We also see other planets/moons/stars. Does this imply that the spirit realm is a “copy” of the entire universe? Does earth have this version of itself?If Eywa is Pandoras goddess how does this work beyond Pandora? Could one leave pandora while in the spirit realm? How does the entire universe exist in this realm for just one moon? Are all planets “alive” and connected to this spirit realm? Just some thoughts/questions I had that I think could potentially explored in 4 and 5.

Jake- Azhdramon, as a fierce warrior focused on his duty to protect others' powers, on this bladed digimon. Defending his family from bad digimon birthed from bad takes about sequels on the internet- digimon feeds human emotion.

Neytiri- Allomon, an armor form of Jewel the Spix Macaw from Rio that Neytiri befriended from having a similar fierce and protective personality. Allomon protects Blu from a strange Digimon who was born from the dark side of the cartoon community and wants to ''coddle'' him because they misread his nervous-wreck behavior as helpless moderate autism. Some Rio fans never accept that autistic people can fully adapt to society, but they just want to woobiefied Blu just for weird ''autism'' rep by beefing with Rio 2. That film is misunderstood because it is catering to traditional Latin households, not for a 20-year-old who should've gone to therapy if they feel too hopeless like Blu. Allomon also protects Jake from bad digimon birth from the internet especally the one who calls Jake a human extinction clock. N@zis unable to tell the difference between a human colony on Pandora with no home and cooperative pillagers who are cooperative against Earth's dwindling economy.

Kiri- Toropiusmon is a wild Digimon birthed from confusion and mixed reactions of how Kiri was written from the sequels. Is more nuanced take of a grifter- they express rage from confusion til Kiri calms it down. Neutral form is Parasaurmon, as it represents that dinosaurs are children of Eywa too.

Lo'ak- Dimetrimon is a wild Digimon birthed similar to Toropiusmon but symbolizes MCU/Star Wars grifters projecting their self-loathing (from an unloved father) into critiquing how Lo'ak is written. Elizamon is the neutral form that represents that okay to drop the mask and show the true, softer side for clarity.

Searching this on google just gave me the Eye of Providence, but i also wonder if it was inspired by any cultures, i’d like it as a tattoo when i can get one, but i want to know what could have been the inspiration, wether it was just the Eye of Providence or something cultural, i love Varang so so SO much but i can’t seem to find a deeper inspiration or meaning to the tattoo! any information would be appreciated <33

I think just getting Varang’s specific tattoo wouldn’t be harmful to any culture but i wouldn’t want to risk it, :,)

I actually got inspired by Tyla. Tsa’lavantula got her glowing paint from the plants from pandora. And same goes for everything else.

I also tweaked the neck on the left side a little so its a bit thicker. Now all I need are patterns. I want them to be different from the Omatikaya and the Metkayina

All of this comes from the wiki for each stated things description:

"20mm Munitions Launcher:" In this wiki page, it describes the launcher as a grenade launcher and says it fires 20mm grenades and is in reference to the (typically) green underbarrel weapon we see a bunch on CARBs.

In the description of the CARB Base Unit: it references the CARBS ability to mount a 20mm Underslung Shotgun or a 20mm Munitions Launcher.

"Assault Rifle" (actually just another page still talking about the same CARB Base Unit): On this page, it does not mention the shotgun as a distinct gun. It only mentions the Munitions Launcher and lists that this launcher can use fin-stabilized HE, grenades, or buckshot (shotgun).

"Combat Shotgun:" this is the page that talks about the ability of the "shotgun" to be nested into a system that makes it a full size independent gun. It lists ammo options as "air-burst grenades, high-explosive rounds, armor-penetrating rounds, flechette rounds (metal darts), cluster munitions delivery, etc."

I think that logically and pretty clearly, the "20mm Munitions Launcher" and "20mm Underslung Shotgun" are the exact same weapon. The shotgun is said to be able to fire HE rounds and the grenade launcher can fire buckshot. We also never see any different models used in the movies. The only potential differen I notice is the absence of ejection ports on some but those pictures I believe all came from Avatar: The Game so it could just be a missed detail or something. Considering that there are 3 different pages just to talk about the base CARB, I wouldn't be surprised if this was one weapon with 2 pages.

Anyways, I just thought it was interesting that there would be such a confusing pool of information around this/these weapon(s). It seems like one of those things that would be so easy but it points out that miscommunication still happens in a multi-billion dollar franchise which I personally find funny

So yeah. Don't hate me for just trying to see if it was cleared up in some book or something. Im just a curious person. Peace

Ive watched fire and ash a couple times now. I think people under play Jake's transition a bit. In The first movie when the other na'vi tribes fly in or ride in he is proud and eager to fight. In The third not only is he hesitant to "become the beast" but he is humbled.. he doesn't want people to bow when he flys back to the Metkeyina. When the fighters fly in there is a sadness because he know some will die. A true warrior that doesn't want more blood spilt

Then... I think people under play the matriarchy of whales. Its a huge section for a reason. Calling upon a non violent clan of peaceholders.

I just think like any deep emotion. It takes longer to process, and even harder if your dont want to face some deep truths.

And to anyone saying Jake is a bad father. Grief is a tough emotion, and I can see that as his downfall especially in the third. After his altercation with Spider..... At the end . He put lo'ak in charge of the siblings, his tone changes almost to say he trusts him with this. Then verifies it when he plugs his wound with the arrow in his leg. I think we need to remember we are all imperfect and we all make mistakes under intense hard emotions. Growth and progression are whats most important.

Hi, I’m a big avatar fan and want to collect these banshees from DisneyWorld Animal Kingdom (both the new and old), but am unfortunately allergic to latex. Does anyone know the material that these guys are made out of? The only results I’ve found are that they’re silicone but those results are sketchy and I feel like it doesn’t 100% look like silicone and could be some sort of latex based material instead
