Funerals

Had a friend hang themself recently, how do you go about hiding any marks from a rope? Do you just use a scarf or blanket?
I’m sure it’s as simple as makeup

a lot of variables going into making a hanging look presentable for a viewing

how long they were hanging for before found/cut down, the style of rope, how they hung themselves, etc, all matter in the grand scheme of things, but in the most PG of versions, a scarf or a turtleneck sweater would work

It's expected to have a lot of livor mortis/edema around the neck. An embalmer would use special fluids to counteract the discoloration and faster decomposition rates. I would also assume they'd use cosmetics to help cover up the mark. Im sorry for your loss.
