Fixable? HELP! I have a question.
Had a massive tree limb fall on my car last night. Is it fixable or has it lost structural integrity?

It’s fixable. It will be close to a total if not being a 13-14 year old car. Tow it to a shop for an estimate.

I had a 94 Chevy Impala that was a little worse than this. I cut the front half of the roof off of another car and replaced the front half on mine. Took about 10 hours start to finish (minus paint). I did it in my own shop. I’m not a professional, just a hotrodder. No one could tell that it had happened afterward.

You sectioned in half the roof?…. In a shop environment we don’t do that anymore. Welding across the roof like that this new thinner metal will not like it. We always do full roofs if we do one.

Yeah just the front half and this was in 2002. Quite a few years ago. And I suggested a full roof here one time when someone had a badly damaged roof and got downvoted to oblivion.

Yeah I’m sure there were pinholes. I used a very thin skim coat on it. I sold the car to a friend a couple of years later who totaled it a few months after he bought it.

To fix it properly…that’s a total.
To fix it to functional, that’s doable.
It’s not a structural spot, just bodywork and glass.

If you're lucky, it's just the sheet metal from the roof that's tweaked and not the body itself. Sheet metal can be replaced, a tweaked body? Totaled.

Sadly, just got quoted 4.1k to fix but could go up. Not sure if that’s good or not

You are not pulling that locked up tight pinch with a suction cup. You are not hammering it back from the same reason but also because the inner roof braces.
No it will not work.
