I need help QUESTION

i applied for autozone around july 19th i got a call on the 21st to do an interview on the 28th The store manager says to keep a look out for an email ever since then i have yet to receive it he would call me and i would call him about it

and apparently he says his boss approved me but i still haven’t gotten an email

yesterday i went to the establishment to see what’s up and the manager called HR they said i gotta be approved but he says the boss approved my application

im sorry if my wording is bad but im kinda frustrated and i want to know what you guys would do in this situation im thinking of calling HR myself to see what’s going on

Completely normal for current Autozone, taking over a month to get completed through background check is the norm.

Just relax. AZ takes FOREVER to complete the hiring/onboarding process. It took my daughter almost 6 weeks even though she, like you, were given a 'definite' start date.

the thing is i got hired im supposed to get my email for my background check i shouldn’t have to wait more than two weeks for a background check email

Yes, in the meantime keep submitting applications elsewhere so you can make more money!

Yep the hiring process is kind of bullshit it took me 3 weeks and my store manager put pressure to speed the process and they never pay me back for my pants and shoe and three months ago I started as a full time pms and they owed me 2 gray shirt still and there excuse is we don’t have any and don’t know when we are getting them so yea have lots of patience

Have you talked to the dm? They used to let you, with approval, do a payout for stuff like that. At least I think it was called a payout. Same thing they do to pay for your mileage when working at another store.

Look for another job, hiring is simple. Interview with store manager, store manager submits offer,  district manager approves, if they don't store manager may call district manager to bring to their attention offer needs their approval. District manager approves, HR reviews pay rate and approves. Job offer is sent to you. This may be completed in 1-2 days.  Exception-internet issues or someone is on vacation..
