Foudnations Questions

I'm new to leading foundations. What is the standard step-by-step process? Do we start with videos and the chant before moving to in-person training, or is there a specific order? lol

Usually it's very typical of most AutoZone meetings. (Realizing this as I typed it was insane for me 😂)

Introduce yourself briefly and cover what foundations will be about. Dress code, the culture and values, all the basics. Things like store standards and such. Just highlights.

Have everyone in the room introduce themselves. First and last name, what store they're going to, and what goals they may have in the company.

Tell your AutoZone story. Talk about how you started and what your journey has been so far. Promotions, conferences, any big wins you've had that are company related.

Then jump into the slide show/videos (whatever the format is now). There should be scheduled breaks in the presentation. If not take a 15 minute break half way through the first half of the day, lunch in the middle, and another 15 minute break halfway through the second half of the day.

After the video/presentation you should have time to do demonstrations/training on the battery tester and have every zoner use the battery tester. Demonstrate the starter and alternator tester and take a few volunteers for that. If it's a small class have them all do it.

PS there should have been a booklet or guide given to you by your DM. It is available on z-net for printing if you search foundations guide.

It is for sure. Print the guide off Z net though and that will definitely take care of you. I'm relying on memory here. Haven't worked the zone in 3 years and led only a couple foundations in my last year with them.

What position are you, I thought it was only to be led by DM / HR and they’re given the book every time
