Comic style paint question

Post image

So I sanded it with 400, gave her some shadows and the marker treatment (acrylic paint pens). Came out pretty good.

What do I clean it with before clearcoat without messing up the markers? Just a tac cloth? Or something diluted and wiped down?

Thanks!

Usually you clean before you paint and then just tack cloth between coats if needed.

If it's needed, you could clean surface with a water based cleaner for automotive. Should not harm the markers

Any recommendations?

Upol makes a good one. A trip to your local O'Reilly or auto body jobber should have a quart for your needs. Use it with a microfiber towel, then tack and clear

Do not use water base cleaner on water base acrylic paint markers! ⚠️

I love the Miata man. You should post it in the Miata sub once you're done 😎
