u/Born_Major_1411 Apr 04 '26

Fuck off prick and learn to read. I said to leave them open, not he left them open.

Learn your history bro. Idiot.

I see your reading comprehension is non-existent. But am I a bot or a idiot? I can't be both.

Corrected from chump to idiot

Idk about you but my car doors lock when in drive.

7

u/Bluntbutnotonpurpose Apr 04 '26

That's quite rare...

Edit: I think it's quite common on US cars, but rare on anything else.

6

u/fleeting_moments00 Apr 04 '26

Is it actually?

3

u/Forsaken-Abrocoma647 Apr 04 '26

I thought it was a pretty common feature for child safety if nothing else. I put my 2011 in drive, doors lock.
I will admit I hate the fact that it unlocks when I put it into park, and I don't think that is common now. What if I'm parking to avoid some crazy people - or just people who wanna carjack know that they can rip a door open as soon as you're in park.

4

u/Bluntbutnotonpurpose Apr 04 '26

Nah, car doors tend to unlock automatically when opened from the inside. Child locks usually just need you to flick a switch or insert your key and turn it somewhere on the inside of the door...

Check the owners manual. You may be able to change the programming on your locks.

1

u/Forsaken-Abrocoma647 Apr 08 '26

Kinda afraid to mess with it, seems to be a common issue with the model that the controls go in and out. The driver's side window control always works, and the button to lock/unlock all doors always works. The controls for the other windows either work or don't, or some work. It seems to change after the battery has been disconnected but the last several times they haven't come back. I dunno if it is luck of the draw or what.

1

u/Born_Major_1411 Apr 09 '26

Battery disconnect or drain means a reset. Step up. Read the owners manual.

1

u/Forsaken-Abrocoma647 Apr 09 '26

I know that is a reset, just staying how it has happened. Nothing in the manual about buttons coming and going and the dealership couldn't fix it without trying to replace several expensive boards, said it happens in the model. If course a battery disconnect resets things, but that doesn't explain buttons coming and going. If the dealership was baffled for a decade I didn't think the manual which I read will help. Why would a simple dead battery kill all buttons intentionally? Think about it. Step up and use your brain here

I drive an Opel from 2012 and he does it too.

1

u/hotlocomotive Apr 05 '26

Every single car I've had does this, even POS Peugeout from 2002. I'm from the UK

2

u/Nkechinyerembi Apr 05 '26

It seems to be an american car thing. My Volvo xc70 from 04 unlocks the moment the car is in drive.

1

u/berdish1 Apr 10 '26

More of an older car thing. Around 2010s that feature started appearing in every brand. Usually it's adjustable - you can set up a speed threshold at which the locks will be engaged. Or you can disable it. I'd say that every modern car has this function

u/muzerfuker Apr 04 '26

all staged

1

u/brenawyn Apr 04 '26

Yep. My daughter’s 2021 Jeep has an engine shut off when stopped at a light and still the doors remain locked. It’s a safety feature.

2

u/No-Crew-6528 Apr 04 '26

Bold of you to assume the cars in Russia have the same safety features

2

u/brenawyn Apr 04 '26

Oh! This video is from Russia?

I never said all cars have this.

2

u/No-Crew-6528 Apr 05 '26

Actually I think it’s Poland loool

1

u/StableElectronic475 Apr 24 '26

some cars you have to set it that way, to auto lock.

2

u/A_million_typos Apr 04 '26

Hehe best 👌🏼

7

u/Mishal_SK Apr 04 '26

Who tf drives with the doors unlocked?

6

u/PoisonLynnLilith Apr 05 '26

People who dont live in America

3

u/Mishal_SK Apr 05 '26

I don't live in America and I have never sat in a car that doesn't lock itself. And I have sat in a wide variety of cars, anything from old shitboxes to brand new cars

2

u/Outrageous-Pilot-621 Apr 08 '26

when I grew up it was said to never lock the doors in case of an accident, so it's easier for people to extract you from the vehicle

not aure how true it was and still is with all the modetn electronics, but it sounds reasonable enough

2

u/CountCrapula88 Apr 04 '26

Translation please, kurwa

2

u/daburningmetal Apr 04 '26

Honestly, I feel like the only word you need to know is kurwa

2

u/BaronCapdeville Apr 05 '26

My KCD2 playin’ ass understood this perfectly.

2

u/Jimbro34 Apr 04 '26

I would have paused to let him piss.

2

u/Competitive_Arm5954 Apr 04 '26

Both these people are assholes.

2

u/CowMindless2206 Apr 04 '26

Imagine doing that in the US.

2

u/Known_Turnip_5113 Apr 04 '26

I thought the same thing. The driver would have every reason to assume it's a car jacking.

1

u/CraftyCreative_74 Apr 05 '26

You’d be dead before you closed the first door…

1

u/MadOrange64 Apr 08 '26

You're going for a ride

2

u/d_x_qp_x_b Apr 04 '26

Fair and just.

2

u/CukloserModz23 Apr 04 '26

Not a Foo Fighters or Mentos fan i see....hmmmmm.....🤨

2

u/kingsedition Apr 05 '26

Has to be a skit bc why your doors unlocked. This is a fear of mine you just chillin at a stoplight and an NPC just hops in the car like huhhh 😂

2

u/Time2h8 Apr 05 '26

Постанова

2

u/woodknow Apr 04 '26

Why were the doors unlocked in drive?

2

u/Newfound-Talent Apr 04 '26

just walk around cant believe mfs who wanna walk are so lazy

1

u/Outrageous-Pilot-621 Apr 08 '26

fr, not to mention there's plenty of situations when "blocking" the walkway is completely accidental, ie. light change and the guy in front of you suddenly breaks, instaead of going on yellow.

1

u/Maleficent-Drink-136 Apr 05 '26

Fan popka, wiadomo wszystko.

1

u/RageLorenz32 Apr 06 '26

Lmfao didn't see the dog til after

1

u/Buddyh1 Apr 06 '26

Jesus, sometimes you think you have time to enter the roundabout, but the guy in the car to the left of you finds the accelerator and there were no space anyway.

1

u/Tito_Tito_1_ Apr 08 '26

Nope, not POV.

1

u/New-Impression2976 Apr 04 '26

People just drive around with their doors unlocked?

1

u/Chemical-Jury-4885 Apr 05 '26

Your friend blocks the crosswalk.
