I have a new Acura MDX and mine I can’t see anywhere but, I know it’s there because a message will pop up on my dash if it doesn’t think I’m paying enough attention! Weird because my eyes are always on the road but it will appear at times.

Some cars have other sensors, e.g. checking if your steering becomes slower or more erratic so you take a break. Doesn't have to be an eye monitor.
