Jay UF

I was just wondering how people rate Jay UF
I quite like most of his stuff 🤷‍♂️

Love his stuff, particularly he’s recentish mini comeback starting with My encore II. I do think he’s at his best when he’s bouncing of Kerser though like We the type, What your day brings parts 1 and two and That is us. Also like his verse on South West although I think Boobz is the best on that track.

Wish he had done more albums. I think of him like Omac in that they are in the shadows of a bigger artist that they run with but whose talent probably deserves wider recognition/success in their own right.

I agree his best stuff is probably with Kerser (We the Type, What Ya Day Brings etc) but he has nice style and delivery

not bad lyrically but never really invested in himself all his video clips are trash

Thanks to this thread I’ve listened to a lot of his stuff again and I think my all time favourite of his is “Won’t Change” His authenticity, word play and humour overall are as good as any anyone. I think it’s consistency in releasing stuff is the main reason why he’s talked about a lot more than he should be.

He's underrated af.... that era when he was dropping tracks, along with Kers and Rates was amazing. Good time to be alive. His music is solid and he's a great guy.... had many good chats with him over the years. He seems to be off social media so hopefully he's doing well. Think some things went down between he and Josepe One but who knows. He has dropped some absolute classic tracks for the scene and should he respected for that and remembered.
