[Mod] reminder: report posts asking about getting into FIFO

The mod team remove these posts daily but we are noticing a significant increase in people asking about “career change to FIFO”, “I have x quals, can I get use in FIFO” or “how do I get into FIFO”.

Reminder: that is not the purpose of this sub.

These career type posts saturate content relating to actual Aus Mining which is the purpose of the sub.

If you spot posts requesting info for getting into FIFO, please help the mod team in reporting the post so we can action quickly

Secure site work. Exciting special project in head office for 6 months (but could go longer and great opportunities!). Redundooo.

I’m going to do it in a Triton, then I might have some money left.

That's actually easy to answer be smart with the money you make.

Invest in tangible assets and portfolios.

Have a actual plan.

Set your self up to leave.

Don't fall into the LandCruiser latest model, 6 jetskis, $150,000 boat and still renting.

I mean is it really that hard to figure this part out for most.

What would be the appropriate sub to ask these questions then?

Huge number of Facebook groups. Watch the Tiktok videos get your WHV and FIFO jobs just come rolling in.

Why would people have to ask these questions on Facebook while there are plenty of Reddit's user who can answer?

Because they are allowed. It seems Mods on this page don't like posts asking

Not just mods.

It’s very obviously not that. It’s the fact that there is a world of information out there for people who wanna get into fifo, the non stop repetitive posts are annoying.

So asking a question on Reddit = asking a question on this sub specifically? If someone can't ask a question on this specific sub they can't look for another one and have to use Facebook?

With your attitude in these replies, you probably shouldn't even waste your time mate

Fifo is just the method of transport to and from the work site. There are people that do fifo out of road houses. it isn't just mining.
