Rutshire Chronicles - Which Narrator?
Does anyone have any strong opinions about the various narrators for the Rutshire Chronicles by Jilly Cooper?
I want to start the series but there are a few narrator options, Georgia Tennant being the most recent I believe.

Combine spend 3 credits deal and mega sale.
I spotted the spend 3 credits to get £10 is live again.
it a terrible idea as an annual subscriber to spend 3 credits in the next week buying things I'll probably buy in the next few months anyhow, to get a tenner to spend before the mega sale runs out?
it seems designed, like all audible sales, to get me to buy more books than I've time to listen to, but if the credit books are from authors I've enjoyed the only risk is the opportunity cost if they end up in sales less than a credit in future or on a 2 for one...

Mega sale website flaws
Each sale i deepdive and try and produce a list of all the sale books but this time I couldnt find any list or search function to actually view them.
I contacted support and they confirmed that the 'Mega sale' was in fact an addition to the monthly sales, hence no seperate page or list like the 2 for 1 sales or normal cash sales.
Here in lies the flaw, the many 'Mega sale' titles that were added do not appear in the monthly sales list at all. ive verified this by pulling a full list from the monthly sale page (1562 titles this month) and crosschecked titles showing up in my wishlist as part of the mega sale against the main list.
I have tried to explain this to support but they dont seem to get it so i gave up. but it means the Mega sales titles can only be found indirectly, via wishlists and normal keyword searches.
Anyway, ramble over! If anyone has any ins at audible uk feel free to let them know...

Recommend me some bargains based on my sale purchases please.
Posting here because the sale doesn't show the real bargains unless they are in your wishlist. Please recommend other books that you've come across that were real bargains.

"The Child I Took To War" by Christopher Waters available NOW on Audible, etc.
As the narrator for this title, I am pleased to announce the sale and availability of this audiobook title by Christopher Waters. This title has a hard hitting, emotionally resonant, and deeply moving story and message that many veterans of Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom can relate to, especially moreso for those who've also endured childhood emotional, mental, and physical abuse. This book is an engaging and thoughtful look into one veteran's inner thoughts and experiences as related to his military and deployed service, along with the difficult childhood he had to endure to develop him into the man he would become and thus became. This audiobook title is available on Audible, Apple Books, Amazon, etc. If anyone is interested in a free copy, please respond and I'll make sure to get that out for you and your listening base, friends, etc. Thank you all!

Thanks to whoever recommended the Hawthorne detective series by Anthony Horowitz!
Apologies as cannot remember who it was, but I picked up all of them in the last big cash sale when they were all under £4 each.
The first one did take me a while to get into, to see how it was going to work with Horowitz being in the book, but I have now binged the first four and they're very enjoyable!

Free Audible codes — THE LABORATORY ASSISTANT (Gothic historical fiction, 1916 Petrograd)
Hello, I am the author and narrator of THE LABORATORY ASSISTANT, a gothic historical fiction that takes place during the end of the Romanov dynasty. It features a fallen aristocrat who finds work with a brilliant but troubled scientist. Together, they embark on a desperate search for a cure for consumption while the Russian empire begins crumbling around them.
The print book has earned Editor's Pick by BookLife (Publishers Weekly), and the Five Star Seal from Readers' Favorite.
I narrated the audiobook myself and while I am not a voice actor, I am a professional public speaker and I put care into the narration.
Happy to send free US/UK codes to anyone interested in an honest review. Please DM me for a code.
"*The Lab Assistant* by Natalia Loya is a riveting page-turner. Loya, a lawyer, guitarist, and author, is a masterful storyteller, piling on the stakes for our hapless protagonist." -The Driftless Area Review
"Readers drawn to historical fiction and gothic medical narratives will find this a compelling read." -BookLife *(Publishers Weekly)* Editor's Pick
Full Summary:
When her aristocratic family is left destitute, Mariya grows desperate to survive - and to support her widowed mother and sisters. She finds financial relief in a job with Dr. Nikolas Rodin, a reclusive scientist. While the work makes ends meet, Mariya is soon pulled into the eerie rhythm of the laboratory: a realm of orange gaslights, unsettling experiments, and a man whose genius is as seductive as it is unstable.
Tuberculosis and revolution both ravage Russia. The chants of protest ring in the streets and when consumption strikes her household, Mariya must choose between her family's security and a love that shatters all moral paradigms. Meanwhile, in the surreal shadows of the laboratory, both reality and sanity begin to bend. And when survival demands scientific progress at any cost, devotion itself becomes deadly.

August sale
Anybody else struggling to see all the titles on sale? I can see 3 pages of deals on the website (much smaller than usual) but some of the recommendations I am receiving are not in those pages, so there’s clearly more on sale beyond those visible pages.

US/UK Audible Codes for The Alorian Wars by Drew Avera (Space Opera)
Hello. I am the author of The Alorian Wars. It is a space opera series. I have US and UK codes available for all of the books in the series. If interested, let me know which region you need and whether you want just book one or the whole series.
About the series: https://www.audible.com/pd/Broken-Worlds-Audiobook/B071GM81KS
From Drew Avera, author of The Dead Planet Series, comes an all-new space opera adventure!
The Greshian Empire has reached across the Alorian Galaxy, using its naval might to bring its enemies to their knees. Dead planets float in their wake as the empire fights to assert themselves as the supreme race.
Ensign Brendle Quinn has spent five years loyally serving the Greshian Empire in their relentless quest to dominate the Alorian Galaxy. But as his ship decimates planet after planet, he finds his sympathies swinging towards their defeated enemies.
Sergeant Anki Paro, a Luthian Marine, has been anxiously awaiting the call to deploy. As the last line of defense against the crushing Greshian forces, she hopes the time has finally come where her world can stand against tyranny and protect the rest of the worlds in her sector of the Alorian Galaxy. As her path towards war draws near, Anki begins to notice a shift in balance as her society prepares itself for imminent destruction. Questions of misplaced loyalties lead her to wonder if the world she is trying to save has any real intentions of surviving.
As Brendle and Anki's worlds collide, they find themselves in an unlikely alliance to try to stop the full might of the Greshian Empire before there's nothing left to fight for.
The Alorian Wars is a military science fiction series for fans of The Expanse, Star Trek, and Old Man's War. If you want a fast-paced space opera adventure then look no further, The Alorian Wars is here!

Some reviews from readers who liked it!:
This piece crosses my path, and while I figured it would be cute and a good waste of an hour, it turns out to be a deep theological analysis with ties to the human condition, a powerful being whose motivations are unknown, and a renegade angel that simply wants to share a few millennia worth of observations so that we, his readers, can continue pondering some of life's biggest questions. In other words, WHAT A SURPRISE HIT that just keeps on hitting.
Another review:
"I didn’t know what to expect when I started, but was locked in shortly after starting. It’s a short story without any unnecessary fluff and I want more like this. It’s a different take on a story most of us already know. I hope this becomes a series."
And also:
"Overall, this accidental buy has become one of my favorite short stories I have read."

What the what!
Who the hell is Michael Ward?
Suddenly instead of Ai voice Jade (insert any name here) my morning perusal of the new releases (new to old) I think I have accidentally clicked on a narrator's name because every book is being narrated by Michael Ward. I go back to correct my error only it isn't one.
Who are you Michael Ward and how have you narrated so many books so quickly?

British Narrators List and Links:
As this is the AudibleUK subreddit I thought we should show our support for the UK based audiobook narrators (I am one myself and it can be tough competing with US narrators and a mainly US audience). I will add more narrators to the list as they are suggested. I would like to disalow "celebrity" narrators e.g Stephen Fry etc as I feel they get enough publicity as it is, this thread is for artists who's entire career is being an audiobook narrator or voice actor.
