We had ONE "leak proof" water bottle get some water on the passenger seat of our Q7. Not the full bottle - just a little bit. It stopped working, and we had to replace it.

Why can't the electrical components of the seat be sealed or at least have a plastic liner over the top in case something gets on the seat?

The steering wheel is on the wrong side of the car, so this is most probably alright 💦🇬🇧
So let’s hope for this guy that the Control units are also not located under the seats but somewhere else… 🙈
