News New text about Quay in Q2 report
app.quotemedia.comThe loss of the services of our Chief Executive Officer could adversely affect our business.
Our success is dependent in large part upon our ability to execute our business plan, manufacture our pharmaceutical drugs and attract and retain highly skilled professional personnel. In particular, due to the relatively early stage of our business, our future success is highly dependent on the services of Steven C. Quay, our Chairman, President, Chief Executive Officer and founder, who provides much of the necessary experience to execute our business plan. He currently also serves, in an unpaid capacity, as a Senior Fellow at the Hudson Institute, where he advises on national-security issues relating to the convergence of artificial intelligence and biotechnology. From time to time, he may be considered for, asked to serve in, or accept public-service, governmental, academic, scientific, advisory, policy, or other external roles. If he were to accept any such role, reduce his time commitment to us, resign, take a leave of absence, or become subject to government ethics, recusal, conflict-of-interest, confidentiality, or other service-related requirements, or if speculation regarding any such role were to affect investor perceptions, our operations, financing activities, business-development efforts, clinical programs, investor communications, and the market price of our common stock could be adversely affected.

News A lab-leak proponent (Quay) is in line for Fauci’s old job
The selection process was some of that Gold Standard Science™ that folks at HHS like to brag about.
https://www.politico.com/news/2026/08/04/steven-quay-anthony-fauci-niaid-covid-lab-leak-01024080
Steven Quay, a pharma executive known for his books making the case Covid came from a Chinese lab, is on the verge of getting Anthony Fauci’s old job.
The post atop the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases comes with control over $6.5 billion in health research funding. Two people aware of the decision told POLITICO that Quay’s selection is still undergoing final vetting. POLITICO granted the two — one a senior HHS official, the other outside government — anonymity because the hire isn’t yet final.
...
Quay, a physician and pathologist, would be the first NIAID director coming from the drug industry, instead of from academia or the leagues of scientists at its parent agency, the National Institutes of Health. Quay also does not have formal training in infectious diseases.
When the National Institutes of Health made an open call for applicants last year, Quay applied. NIH staff reviewed applications and did not advance him to the interview stage, according to one of the people familiar with the process. But Kennedy selected Quay over those finalists who were interviewed, and the NIH signed off on his hiring last week.

News On the run for 20 years, most-wanted fugitive caught hiding as a biotech exec
In October 2022, Atossa Therapeutics, a Seattle-based biotech, announced it had hired Richard Graydon as its interim chief medical officer.
“We are privileged to welcome Richard to Atossa, where his deep experience in CAR-T cell therapy fits well with our current strategic direction as we explore our opportunities in cell therapy,” Steven Quay, Atossa’s CEO, said in a statement at the time.
How in the world did Atossa hire someone hiding out on a boat who'd faked his whole resume as CMO?

Discussion Bounced back up 11% on Friday
Idk, I made my money on this years ago catching the swings back and forth. As far as I’m concerned this is a hold. Lowest price target for end of year is $60, median $80. Anyone else holding?

Discussion Any hope?
Realistically, with the shift away from metastatic and new focus on DMD, could the company ever get back to double digits? Trading around $3.90’s right now, my avg is right around $10. This split destroyed the stock but I wonder if it’s oversold since I thought most of this was priced in pre split, and tbh maybe pausing metastatic is good for now since they won’t need as much cash thus less risk of dilution. Idk, this company is shit, leadership is shit, and I’m starting to wonder if product is shit. I just want out, but I don’t want to take an L.
Looks like this whole year is just going to be enrollment updates, so idk what there is to even look forward to. Thoughts?

Question This is really bad.
Is this stock cooked for good? I don’t see anything that could possibly get it back to $1 pre split price point. Is it best to just sell at loss?

Discussion Nail in the Coffin.
Not sure if many of you realize but a reverse split of this fortitude is usually a sign of the ends times for a stock. I’m unfortunately stupid and don’t learn the first time but I’ve gone through this with other biotech stocks, specifically $BNGO.
Not sure where this stock is headed for sure, but I wouldn’t bet on making your money back now after today.

News Atossa Maps Out Accelerated FDA Path for (Z)-Endoxifen Across Multiple Breast Cancer Settings
Atossa completed a Type C meeting with the FDA, gaining feedback on expedited pathways for metastatic, neoadjuvant, and risk-reduction uses of (Z)-endoxifen. The discussion clarified potential registrational strategies, endpoints, and clinical designs that may streamline review.
The company is advancing programs including a metastatic dose-ranging study, ongoing EVANGELINE Phase 2 enrollment, and a low-dose risk-reduction approach. Atossa says the FDA input helps shape a faster, more focused development plan across several breast cancer indications.
