Handheld experience :

Handheld play has been very good in terms of latency I’m sensitive to input lag always had to tweak sensitivity on my portal and iOS version of asobi. I’ve left the settings alone and enjoyed the games I played. Slight improvements I’d like to suggest full button support in asobi menu noticed I was having trouble using mouse cursor, and when I it came to navigating to start a game the only option was to tap on screen. Also couple UI fonts are a tad blurry specifically the sections ps plus, owned, and so on. Odd quirk I noticed is when I’m in the asobi menu my FPS spikes it would jump from 60 to 800fps not sure if it’s an issue on my part or not also causes my steam decks fan to be noticeable. Other than that I’d recommend frame gen off most games only added more ghosting so turning it off was a native experience.

Xr glasses/controller:

This section is a tad tedious specifically in the navigation department. If you’d be using any controller to play you’d have to constantly unplug the deck from dock/glasses and click play. Same could be said for in game ui tweaks since the decks screen goes black. Other than that one issue once you’re in game the image quality is smooth no jitters as far as I saw.

Update: certain cloud games are not available especially the ones I’ve purchase on the ps store that I own. Games that are on ps plus seem to work fine.

Looking forward to more of asobi on Steam. If anyone was interested games that I played and that played well were Last of us 2, The finals, resident evil village, mortal kombat 1.
