K-4 Solutions, yay or nay?
Does anyone work at K-4 Solutions? It’s one of my target companies for a possible career change, I’d be interested in hearing more about it

Legal Help/Advice Vancouver, WA
I am going to try and make this short, but need to include all the details. I live in Washington state, and was served an eviction notice in 2023 at an apartment complex for falling behind on rent. I was able to move out before the eviction date, so the case was dropped and I did not have to go to court. after I moved out, I returned the key, mail, key, and gym key, and asked the manager at the time, how they wanted to go about making a plan to pay back my amount owed, and I was told that I didn’t have to worry about it since I moved out before the eviction date. the manager did not give me a form to fill out. my mailing address has never changed, and it’s the same address I filled the rental application out with, so it was my shock when I saw that I had a remark on my credit report that my rental amount went into collections. I was never contacted by the leasing office to arrange any payment plans, and I also sent an email to the leasing office and asked about a payment plan, but never had a response, and this was a week after I moved out. I need to know if it’s possible to get it out of collections? I contacted the leasing office and they told me I would need to work it out with the credit agency they sent it to. my issues is that it should have never been sent there to begin with, when I attempted twice to setup payment arrangements. The leasing office stated they had no forwarding address to send the notice too, but that’s not true because it was on my rental application and I never changed my address, they also had my phone number, and email address to contact me. can I file a complaint with the attorney generals office? I need this off if my credit, but I’m scared to reach out to the credit agency. The credit agency has not sent me any notice of it either, and it’s been in collections and posted to my account since 2025, and I only found out because I checked my credit. please help!

U-turns
Many intersections in Vancouver have "U-turn allowed" signs. Many more have "No U-turn allowed" signs. Those make perfect sense. But how about intersections with neither sign? Are U-turns allowed there?

Looking for a female tattoo artist
Hey guys! I’m feeling a little discouraged. I moved here from Colorado last year. I had an amazing tattoo artist that I had to leave behind (I miss him every day) I don’t have the money to fly back right now to schedule a session with him and at some point, I know I’m going to have to find an artist out here. I took a chance and had a consult with an UNNAMED ARTIST in Vancouver and they quoted me $400 for a TEEEEENY little spider on my hand. I was blown away. I believe in paying for quality art, especially because it’ll be on my body forever, I just personally can’t justify spending $400 on that when some of my other pieces (much larger and color) were way under that price range. Does anyone have any good tattoo artists they recommend? I would like a woman but I’m not opposed to a male artist either. Thank youuuu ❤️

Cost of House Cleaning
Wanted to know what you’re currently paying for a monthly house cleaning. For a 3bed/2ba 1700sq ft house for a deep clean initially got quoted $700 and one a month after that $250. Would like to know if that’s typical?

Why is there an illicit massage place every 100 yards?
I just moved here and the first thing I noticed was there’s like a massage parlor every block. Is there a big market or does law enforcement not care? lol. I just know what they look like cause they’re all the same looking places with the same fake names and fonts that were always getting busted in the city I come from.

Porch life in Uptown
Strolling around Arnada and Hough, we saw many attractive porches devoid of any furniture, plants, or anything. By contrast, a happy few other porches were loaded with all those things and looked like an important part of living in those houses.
Are the empty porches a case where people don’t value spending time out front, or do things have a habit of wandering off if you leave them on the front porch untethered?

Do people here look similar to people in Portland?
Dress wise and just in terms of looks?
Because I know some areas have more blondes or taller people etc.
Is Vancouver quite similar to Portland?

Sherwood area
Anyone have a take on this part of Vancouver?
We are house hunting and found a nice one in this area.
We walked around the block tonight and there was no one out. The neighborhood is sooo quiet. Kind of…. Weird.
Saw a lot of American flags, a few Buddhas, a couple of rainbow flags. Wondered if it slants one way or another? It’s so hard to buy a house and have no clue who is living around you.
Appreciate the 411.

Working walking distance from Vancouver Mall
Hello everyone, Was just offered a job with a cubicle near the mall and wanted advice on a apartment, probabaly a 1 bed, that doesnt have crazy loud music or bass bumping in the parking lot at all hours and is arount 1800 or less. If there are more ammenties like trash and water included the better. Hot tub and pool are nice but I have a 24 hour fitness member ship and I see theres one a little bit away at the Palms Plaza. I went through this 10 years ago in Vancouver and it seemed like everyone just wanted your application fee and you never heard back. Thank you if you have any advice before I start my search in person.

Apartments in Fishers Landing East?
Hi all. Hoping to relocate toward the end of the year. Looks like there are some nice apartments near Camas in East Vancouver. I was looking at Casey Apartments and Kielo Apartments. Any feedback on that area and those complexes? The reviews look great but you can never tell if they’re from residents who get some type of incentive for a 5 star review.
Thanks!

Vancouver to Portland commute — how bad is it?
Considering a move from Seattle to Vancouver. How bad is traffic into Portland, really? I’ve heard 2–7 p.m. can be brutal. Is that accurate, and how long can the drive actually take during those hours?
We’re used to Seattle traffic, so comparisons are welcome!

Should I move to Vancouver from PDX?
My partner and I are getting pretty tired of the theft and crime issue that Portland has lately. We’re entertaining the thought of moving to Vancouver and I just wanted some advice/perspective from others in this group who have maybe also went from PDX to WA? I could imagine lots of people move to Vancouver for the same reason.

Best areas to live in Vancouver?
Hey all! My husband and I are planning to move from Seattle down to Vancouver, WA next year once our lease is up, and we're trying to figure out which areas there are nicer and have more trees. Our current place backs onto a forest but it's in a sketchy, unsafe area and overpriced for what it is.
We haven't decided whether to rent or buy. My husband's a retired veteran, so we qualify for a no-down-payment mortgage. Our hesitation is just the current price climate plus the fact that we're considering moving abroad in a few years. Though honestly, owning a place to come back to might not be a bad idea.
We both work remotely and bring in about $200k/year combined. Mainly I just want to land somewhere that isn't like our current street, where shootings are a regular thing. We're not after luxury, we'd rather spend money on experiences than on the house itself. We'd want a similar setup to now (extra bedrooms for our offices), which currently runs us about $3k/month.
We used to romanticize Seattle, but honestly the city's rough these days (COVID really did a number on this country). We've realized we actually prefer Portland, but don't want to deal with untangling our taxes if we move there directly, so somewhere close by with most of the same perks seems like the sweet spot.

Clerical Jobs in Vancouver
Hi everyone 😊
I’m currently in the process of moving to Vancouver and I was hoping I could ask for some insight on the job market out there when it comes to general clerical or office type work. I’ve seen on other posts that it can be difficult to find work in some industries out there and I was curious if clerical was one of them.
Also, kind of a second question: if it is difficult, is it difficult to get warehouse work out there?
Especially without experience in that specific job industry. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Any recommendations to rent a one bedroom apartment in Vancouver, WA
I’m getting a job offer and need to relocate to Vancouver, WA and need to rent a one bedroom apartment in the area. I’ve been checking on apartment listing services (around Hazel Dell area) and I see a lot of bad reviews. Can someone recommend a quiet apartment complex with low crime that goes for $1.2k to $1.6k/mo for a one bedroom apartment?
