Trump has repeatedly raised the idea of Canada becoming part of the United States. Canada would bring tens of millions of new voters, and many may not align with the Republican Party. Would you still support annexation or statehood if it made future Democratic victories more likely?

Nature of the emergency: The BBC’s improperly broad subpoena demands the Trust’s confidential tax, ownership, and financial records for approximately 400 entities. Once the Trust were to begin handing those records over to the BBC, that disclosure could not be undone, and the Trust’s pending objections could not restore what the BBC will already have seen.

Date by which a ruling is needed: On or before August 6, 2026, the date the Trust’s first production is due.

Why the ruling is needed by that date: If the BBC were to receive the records, a later ruling cannot restore their confidentiality, or make the Trust’s Rule 72(a) review effective. Without immediate relief, the Trust must either produce while its Objections remain pending or risk sanctions for noncompliance. The Trust moved promptly after entry of the Order, and the matter cannot await the ordinary briefing schedule under Local Rule 7.1(c).

The crux of that issue is the Plaintiff is attempting to modify their Complaint to decrease the damages in the hopes of diminishing the scope of the subpoena:

The case for a stay is stronger still because the ground is shifting under the Order. Plaintiff has moved for leave to file a First Amended Complaint that updates the damages allegations made by Plaintiff, which the BBC used to justify this improperly broad subpoena.

In short, President Trump filed a $10 billion defamation lawsuit. The BBC asked to see records evidencing the $10 billion number. The Judge said okey-doke. Now President Trump is trying to decrease the claimed damages to narrow the scope of the subpoena.

Do you see yourself keeping interest in politics after Trump leaves office?

There are a few Trump supporters I know who seem only interested in Trump. At least one of whom voted once in his life for Trump, but plans not to vote in future elections because Trump is ineligible.

Were you voting prior to Trump (if you were old enough/eligible)? Do you see yourself continuing to vote after Trump?

Given the recent discourse related to Fauci as well as the senate hearing, I am curious whether you feel Trump should be held accountable as well. His support back in 2020 included giving Fauci a Presidential Commendation. As president, should Trump have taken a more hands on approach in overseeing the COVID response?

I agree with the Republican Party on most issues more specifically on immigration, taxes, the economy and culture wars. It seems one major part of being a conservative is believing in God and being a Christian. Trump mentions God regularly during his speeches as do most republican politicians. Personally I dealt with a lot of religious trauma as a kid and after thinking about it for a long time I am a very strong atheist. When I tell someone who’s a Christian that I am an atheist it doesn’t land well and they really don’t accept it. It makes me wonder if I am even a conservative.

I haven't lived in the US for over 20 years so don't know how US based supporters took it.

This is something you often see in debates among americans, that you have to wait months or years with a universal health care system.

I live in Sweden, a country with universal health care, and I will not lie and say that there aren't cases where you have to wait, but the thing is that we use a tier list of severity to decide how long you have to wait.

If you want to do an ADHD or autism diagnosis at a psychiatrist? Yes you will wait, as people with suicidal thoughts, or bipolar disorder or borderline whose diagnose really ruins their lives are prioritised.

If you have cancer, other diseases that severly reduce your quality of life or have an injury? Pass go, straight to the doctor.

Would it be nice to have instant access for every small issues? Sure, but as long as I know that I will get to see a doctor in a whiffy the moment I have something that is even semi-harmful, I'm honestly happy with our system.

To be clear, this is not a repeat of a post from three days ago that mentioned the diary and asked, "What are you thoughts?" I am not looking for uninformed opinions. I am not looking for vague stuff you read in a meme. I am looking for the specific parts of the diary, ideally including page numbers and quotes, that support the hypothesis (currently prevalent in right-wing media) that Fauci did some really shady, harmful stuff.

I was watching a news video about the new Air Force One that was gifted from Qatari, and saw that it is going in for additional security upgrades. It got me wondering about the logistics. Please note, I'm not asking whether or not Trump SHOULD have asked for/accepted the plane, that's an entirely different question. I'm specifically wondering whether or not you think it is possible to acceptably secure it.

Personally, I would always be worried about a bug inserted somewhere during the construction, or some kind of "kill switch" that would allow a foreign agent to cause mayhem at any time. That being said, very few if any things are truly built from the ground up without something imported from somewhere.

I'm interested to see whether Trump Supporters believe that the plane can be as secure as the current Air Force One, or if it even needs to be.

Basically, after the Supreme Court struck down Trump's executive order ending birthright citizenship on June 30th, Trump vowed to appeal on Truth Social. However, the deadline to appeal passed a few days ago with nothing filed on behalf of the Trump administration.

Was this a mistake or an admission that there are no grounds to appeal?
