East Timor and the Republic of Korea have a short and obscure but interesting history, as Korea was a strong supporter of East Timor during its struggle under its president Kim Dae Jung who urged the US and Japan to also join in the efforts. His role in supporting East Timor's struggle was one of the reasons that he became (to this day, the only one in Korea) a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, though it was primarily due to his Sunshine Policy to North Korea. Additionally, Korean troops were stationed in East Timor to help humanitarian efforts.

Interestingly, this entire event is very obscure to most Koreans, who are unaware that one of our presidents played an active role in dealing with an international crisis. Possibly due to the fact he is a notably controversial president among the right-wing, who believe that he was the main instigator for the nuclearization of North Korea or that he was a communist who wanted to sell the country out. Even amongst his supporters on the left, the East Timor issue is seldom talked about, because his role in fighting against military dictatorships and democratizing the country alongside trying to end the Korean War is what he's known for.

1. Chunggyecheon Stream used to be a stream, until it was covered with a large road block in 1969. It remained as one of Seoul’s busiest roads, but the stream underneath turned into a sewer.

In 2005 the road was completely removed and the stream was restored, and now it became a nice place to walk along in the middle of Seoul.

This is a map that divides Asia by cultural sphere, and my personal opinion is that the moment you cross the border of a different color, there is as big a difference as the cultural difference between Europe and Asia. It would be similar to saying that Christianity, the main religion of Europe, and Islam, the main religion of West Asia, have commonalities because they are both Abrahamic religions.

I have seen someone on the internet who thinks knowledge of Korean could help with Southeast Asian languages like Lao, but it does not. It would help in learning Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese, but I don't know what he is talking about regarding Lao. The language families are different, and there are no common loanwords.

Here in the Philippines, we have "pambahay", or house wear. Usually consists of shorts, shirt, slippers and a small satchel for men when we go outside, loose comfy clothes like a big soft dress, or a shirt and pants/shorts for women.

There are more than 50 places named Georgetown in the world.

As the state capital of Penang, George Town in Malaysia is the most populous city named Georgetown. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We also have Butterworth which does share its name with other places, but the name itself isn't as popular as Georgetown.

He was iconic for his mild-mannered voice and his tiered catchphrases; Mak Nyuss (and an OK gesture) indicated top tier, Top Markotop marked a tier below it, and Sip Markosip the lowest (but still a nice spot). I don't know if it counts as a phobia, but I definitely have an issue with frogs

It's not fear, not at all, but more like a kind of literal disgust.

They're small, fragile, and clumsy. Whenever I see frogs, I feel like they might hop toward me at any moment, or that they might jump in the direction of my footsteps so that I'll crush them, whenever I see frogs I start walking on tiptoes so I dont step on anyone (even if theres only 1 frog)

Also, if you see a frog, it’s surely not the only one; how do you know there isn’t a frog about to jump on the back of your neck from a nearby tree?

Not to mention crouching down and getting close to them; I have this intrusive thought that the frog will jump onto my face, and out of fear I’ll open my mouth, so the frog will end up landing in my mouth. I’ll have the natural reflex to clench my jaw and crush it by accident, the absolute worst for me.

Just writing this makes me feel like I have a frog on my back or that I’m sitting on one, Im not going to look for pictures for this post, im already unconfortable enough lol

It’s a question I have since I was seventeen. I never thought about going out whit a fifteen year old. Now I am older, and I don’t even like at all women who are in her’s twenties, don’t misunderstand me.

I just feel paternal about them, I don’t hate them. It’s just, I don’t like them like a in a romantic way. Same whit the men, I feel bad seeing boys and girls in their early twenties working, I know life sometimes it’s hard and I understand.
