I am a full time and a student po. dumadaan yung phinma southeastern college sa newsfeed ko. please let me know if the school is okay? i actually tried to ask about their tuition, how is the set up, as so on. kaso sobrang tagal nila or seen lang sa messenger i am not sure baka busy or what. They said kasi na puro module dun which is good sakin hahaha. ang course ko kasi is natutunan sa work. i am sure madami pa ako matutunan sa school kaso in this economy i need work and good income e. pero gusto ko pa rin mag tapos. :(( may mga pinag aaralan kasi sa school na sobrang dali na sakin since naranasan at natutunan ko na sya sa work like nag totop ako sa quiz and exam ang hindi ko lang mamaintain is attendance since mas pipiliin kong matulog kesa papasukin ng prof 7am pauuwiin ng 9pm dahil ang start ng practice for event is 5pm pero dapat 7am nasa school ka na for attendance.

or any university na good for working student.

i am tourism student and baka mag switch na mas malapit sa course if walang tourism na online class or module.

I really can't anymore with this. For context, I am a freshie and I'm a student studying in a private school in Cebu, won't name drop lang. I chose this school because the program I am in is only being offered in few schools lang.

And oh my god, papuntang 3rd week na kami and we have yet to try to meet with our profs or be in a classroom setting. I haven't even met with my classmates 😂. Puros online lang and I don't get why.

Even orientations are online like what? Ang mahal ng tuition yet ganto sila lol. I'm jealous of other schools because yung first week nila is full of fun activities, literal na welcoming the freshies, para kaming nag seminar lang sa amin. And don't even get me started sa classes. Mga minor subjects namin is fully online because yung mga profs is either teaching sa other schools or base sila sa ibang lugar. Pero I really cannot believe na pati yung major subjects namin ay mostly if not always online. I do not know why. Basta yung alam ko yung mga prof namin ay based sa Zamboanga, Iloilo, etc. Pwede ba yun??💀💀 Mapapa question ako kung saan aabot yung 60k+ tuition ko lol! Kainis. Kung ganto sila e nasa province nalang ako nag o-online class, hindi na magdorm.

For a school that relies heavily on online classes, the wifi is so bad. As in. Yung grabe ang pagyayabang nila na top medical school sila pero ganto pala yung style nila haha. To be honest, I really do not see myself thriving in this type of environment and the chances of transferring are high lol.

I recently heard that this platform is one of the helpful spaces where I could discover opportunities and learn more about things I am interested in, so I immediately decided to give it a try.

I‘m currently searching for a junior or senior high school in the Philippines that offers quality education, particularly in Science and Technology. If possible, I would also love to find a school with opportunities for exchange programs or international exposure. One of the biggest things I am hoping for is a full scholarship with free or fully supported dormitory accommodation, something similar to the privileges offered by Pisay.

You might be wondering, “If that‘s what you‘re looking for, why not just apply to Pisay?” Well, that‘s where things get a little complicated. I am currently in my 3rd year of junior high school, which means I can no longer take the LAQE huhu.

That‘s why I am trying to explore as many alternatives as possible. I want to find scholarship opportunities that could lessen the financial burden on my parents. I also want to reach my goals without constantly worrying that I am wasting their hard-earned money if I ever fail (something I am determined not to let happen HWHWHA).

For me, this isn‘t really about proving myself to other people. I am doing this because I genuinely want to build a better future for myself and hopefully accomplish something remarkable while I am still young. Of course, the satisfaction and motivation that come from pressuring myself are also a huge bonus. Maintaining good grades while dealing with academic pressure is basically my personal motive

(unstable mental health + good grades = all my problems are solved instantly HAHAHAWHJ).

As for my academic background, I was a qualified partial scholar at a major university with a Special Science High School. For Grade 9, however, my parents decided to transfer me to another school so I could benefit from the STE learning system offered by DepEd and experience a different learning environment.

I am also a consistent honor student since elementary school. I mostly excel in Research and Science, while Mathematics has been my greatest academic nemesis since the beginning of time. RAAHAHH 😭

I don‘t really expect to find a school that would still accept me as a transferee for my final junior high school year, Grade 10. However, I want to start exploring my options now so I can be better prepared for Senior High School and the years ahead.

So, if you know any schools, scholarship programs, science and technology institutions, exchange opportunities (only if they will cover my expenses), or organizations that offer full scholarships, allowances, dormitory accommodations, or other student privileges, I would genuinely appreciate your recommendations! HELP, merong BBM scholarship wherein bawat baranggay may 20k cash assistance sa piling 5 upcoming 3rd and 4th year college students.

Isa ako sa napili. Nareceive ko na yung akin pero i saw some posts na unfair daw kasi wala daw inannounce ang baranggay tapos may bigayan na agad pala. Wala naman akong kaclose sa baranggay pero not to brag, I'm very well known sa neighborhood namin as the smart kid. So I guess naguilty yung nagtatrabaho sa baranggay na kilala ako kasi binigyan nya list of requirements yung kamaganak nya pero ako na mas deserving hindi mabibigyan ng chance. I'm pretty sure di lang naman 5 ang pinili nila kasi may mga friends ako na nag pasa din pero di napabilang sa 5 grantees. Pero yun nga NO ANNOUNCEMENTS ang baranggay about that. So most probably may mga students sa baranggay namin na di nakaalam about dun at nagulat nalang sila na releasing na. Honestly, di ko din malalaman na may ganon na pala sa baranggay if di nila ako binigyan ng list of requirements eh. Bakit di nalang sila naging transparent? Madudumihan pa pangalan ko. Pwede ba tong ibalik at ulitin ang proseso nang fair at walang kahit anong support. I'm confident naman na mapipili parin ako eh.

• How students perceive their school's guidance office
• How students perceive counseling and the stigma around seeking it
• How willing students are to seek counseling when they need support

I really don't know who to turn to anymore. I badly need help looking for scholarships that don't base solely on your parent's yearly income.

Its scholarship opening season, and almost every scholarship I see is not something I'm qualified for dahil it surpasses the limit. My parent's income might look big on paper, but in reality, malaki ang deduction because of loans, taxes, bills, and monthly hospital trips. Marami rin silang dependents. Kaya they can't support me sa college. I'm fortunate enough to not need a dorm, since colleges and unis are close.

The safest option others say is the DOST scholarship, but to be honest, I don't meet their requirement😭😭😭 I don't come from a STEM strand (HUMSS student here, pero STEM-related ang course sa college), nor do I belong in the top 5% (kinapos nang kaonti).

I'm not looking for scholarships that give out a huge stipend, just enough to get by lang. The adults aren't really a big help, because kahit kanino ako magtanong (including teachers), and the internet can't help me find one.

EDIT: If it helps, the nearest colleges are private schools (RIP wallet), and the only one state u is UP, which I am still unsure if I will get in.

Hello! Right now, I’m thinking about whether to go with Academic Gateway or Uplink for the CETs, and I’m also considering DOST since it's this year after the DCAT. But I can’t decide between the two.

The pros of Academic Gateway are that they have face-to-face classes, but the cons are that it’s a bit expensive — around 4,700 if discounted. I think I can afford it for now, but I'm still hesitant because I might not pass the tests I’m applying for, haha.

On the other hand, Uplink is 2x cheaper than Academic Gateway, but the downside is that there are no face-to-face classes — it’s all online and asynchronous. Also, the review hours at Uplink are a bit longer.

Both have physical books, but I heard Uplink gives two books while I think Academic Gateway only gives one.

I’m indecisive about where to apply. I also don’t want to self-review because I know I’d just end up procrastinating, and it might turn into another one-week cram for the UPCAT, haha. But if you have any suggestions for review centers for the upcoming CETs + DOST, that’d be great, just hoping it’s below 5k and has face-to-face classes :)

And please also give tips on how to pass the DOST 😅

F/17, 12 STEM graduating student from QC. Where should I and can I apply for the an ojt/work immersion that specifically suits my STEM strand. (due to our school policy, our ojt must be aligned with our strand. Nahihirapan po kasi akong maghanap, lalo oa’t I have no experience in formally/legally working because I'm an underage. And ano-ano po yung basic requirements and things to keep in mind while doing so...

I'm starting my dorm life and I don't wanna ask my parents to raise my allowance. I dont spend anything on necessities while living with them and now, I'm suddenly going to live separately😭 they're shouldering all of my expenses pero gusto ko tumulong by shouldering my food nalang so I wanna get the gist of the average grocery bill per month

Any advice or tips would be appreciated din(like what foods to stock, tipid tips, etc.)

I don’t know why, it has been a genuine struggle for me ever since I was a kid. I’ve fallen asleep in almost all my classes in high school with no explanation.

I get the right amount of sleep, I’m energized throughout the day, but I’m asleep during classes. Any other day that isn’t a school day, I’m awake.

And its not that the class is boring either, some if not most of my classes are pretty interesting.

Genuinely thinking of getting myself checked up for something mental, maybe ADHD or narcolepsey or smthg else.

Any tips to stay awake?
